Ben the bear takes center stage here as a torrential rainstorm traps James "Grizzly" Adams along with his friends Mad Jack(Denver Pyle) and Nakoma(Don Shanks) with some animals in his cabin for the night. Come morning, Adams' cabin will need to be repaired, which everyone makes a priority except Ben, who wanders off to explore, much to the bafflement of everyone, but what can they do? Ben however isn't goofing off, as he gets involved with wagon train settlers, and a Native American medicine man for example. Ben returns later, with Jack thinking how easy a life Ben really has... Amusing episode takes a welcome look at the big lovable bear Ben, and how everyone looks at him.
