My favorite show and an amazing episode.

I watch this episode every Xmas. The 4 main cast members are always better together. The Japanese zero pilot that they bury signifies their bond as soldiers and friends. A must see episode.

Well an x mass episode.
mm-3923 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Operation: Silent Night has the crew taking a chopper ride, and T C's chopper goes down on a navel gunnery range island. The crew must get off the Island because a hard commander has gunnery practice for the Island on X mass eve. Each character tells a story about themselves creating character development for the series. A sentimental episode, which my friend Tony said years a ago is sappy, but I liked it. A toned down Magnum Christmas story. Of course the crew got off the island or the series script writers would have been big time demented. 7 stars.

Christmas Eve on Frenchman's Island
Jon-nel4 January 2014
Warning: Spoilers
This is a Christmas-themed episode distinctive for being set mostly on a deserted island, where the guys are stranded after TC experiences mechanical problems. This sets up a deserted island survival story involving TM, TC, Rick and Higgins.

Frenchman's Island is used for Naval target practice, and, unbeknownst to the guys, a sadistic Navy Captain plans to shell the island on Christmas Eve. Frenchman's Island is a fictitious island based on the actual island of Kahoolawe, which was historically used for Naval target practice but is now protected.

The guys make the best of the situation and reflect deep thoughts about Christmas while sitting around the campfire, just as the first rounds start to fall. Miraculously, the chopper starts up and they zoom off into the silent night.

A simple, linear storyline with no real mystery or body count, it is a welcome change of pace for fans of the series and a decent holiday story. 8/10.

Too much fun

I find that the episodes that just include the four of them, are the best. Really learn slot of them in this episode.

Loved it.

Charlie Brown and Magnum
safenoe4 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Magnum has one thing in common with Charlie Brown, they have a Christmas episode and certainly the Charlie Brown & Peanuts gang one is the gold standard, this one in the Magnum series still is quite worthy. The sub-plot of Rick and his cousin was creepily hilarious and pretty much threaded it way through this festive episode where the Magnum gang are stuck on a deserted island. Kind of reminded me of Amelia Earhart in an eerie way, but still.

I know Magnum, P. I. has been rebooted, but you can't go past the original which stands the test of time for sure. It's a shame there has been no Magnum reunion.
