Jack or is it Del The Lad?
ygwerin114 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The Christening of D.D.T. is in the offing for Del and Raquel, that for Dave is more akin to the anointing of the Prince of Darkness.

Del can't resist taking every opportunity to make some bunce, even with the vicar who carried out the ceremony.

Del Boy Trotter always portrays himself as a Diamond Geezer, but this episode shows him in a different light that of a rather nasty piece of work.

Del invariably chided Dave for being an idiot in his business dealings, but his propensity to buy tat sight unseen is legendary.

Alan has good news for Rodney about a pension plan he'd had with his firm, saying he could make it work for himself.

But instead Rodders decided to take the money and run, when he found out how much it was worth.

But with Del as a brother he should really have thought better of it, for when did Del ever do anything for anyone but himself?

When Del started showing concern for his brothers money, Rodney should have been alarmed.

For any sensible person finding Derek Trotter suddenly on their side, alarm bells would be sounding wildly.

But Rodders never seems to have the slightest capacity to learn from experience. However bitter and frequent they have been, Rodney perpetually showed his unerring capacity to be a right wally.

Why for instance didn't Rodney just talk to Cassandra, about having a holiday with his insurance money?

If he hadn't been such a spoilt brat about Cassandra's career, they would have been on better terms with each other. And they could have arranged a break that was convenient for both of them, and not one that only suited Derek Trotter.

Who Do You Think You're Talking To, Rodney!?

I wasn't looking forward to this one until I realised that this special was made up of 2 episodes (I had in on VHS when I was a kid) but this first part of Miami Twice is actually pretty good. First half at Damien's christening and after-party and the second half in the flat discussing the coming trip to Miami.

It's a shame the second part of Miami Twice couldn't live up to this set up.
