Clare Is There
Hitchcoc6 July 2022
Two focuses. One is Bobby's efforts to get some money for a man he defended fifteen years previously. The man was convicted but released after DNA proved another mad did it. Bobby is filled with guilt. We also get to know Lindsay's assistant, a woman named Clare who has some real psychological quirks. She is sent to sue a town for its soccer program (brain injury from doing headers). It is all a matter of confidence.

Best episode of the season so far

Warning: Spoilers
I loved the Claire plot. Such a breath of fresh air after all the doom and gloom of this season. It gave me the same feeling I had when Jimmy won his first trial, and Harland after that.

Hell even Bobby's case didn't make me want to pull my hair out. Certainly a retread of something they've done before but it's still effective enough to make up what I would consider to be the B plot of this episode.

That other reviewer is right though. 7 seasons in and Bobby is just not a likeable person. Even Walsh is starting to pull more redeeming qualities out of his ass than Bobby has. On that note, I'm enjoying the Walsh redemption arc. We'll see what happens with it.

The main character is the one most unlikable.
TK3211 September 2017
After seven seasons, the worst character in this series remains Bobby Donnell.

For the last four seasons he has become increasingly arrogant, sanctimonious, and hypocritical. the show would be much better had the character taken an extended vacation.

That fact is too bad, considering Dylan McDermott is a fine actor. The only ones to blame are the writers who thought to write the main character so unlikable.
