Craig and Brendan are as different as night and day. You look at straight as an arrow Craig and wonder if he is headed for a military career. He is a tight butt in every way from his short haircut, conservative dress and the way he enforces the rules as a hall monitor with an iron fist. He won't even let Mister Kaufman up the stairs that are temporarily blocked for repairs. Craig is a natural athlete and leader on the track team and the coach has to quit for the season and guess who Kaufman asks to take over? Good old Pete relaxes the rules on haircuts and this allows Brendan to join. He and Craig aren't like oil and water they are more like fire and gasoline! However they bond in the end to put their differences aside and win a big match.

Pete The Track Coach

Craig, a straight laced student on the track team gets a new teammate, Brendan a long haired rule breaker.
An OK episode. Pete takes over as track coach when the current one is sidelined by illness. Rick Kelman plays Craig and it's his second appearance on the show, he was in "The New Boy" episode in a different role. There is some good scenes between he and Brendan as a guy who likes to clown around while Craig takes things more seriously.
