George O'Hanlon of Joe McDoakes and THE JETSONS

"Ol' Brown Eyes" finds the gang ready to celebrate Fred's 35 year anniversary in the junk business, starting out a poor man with nothing (Rollo: "yeah, look like he still hung on to it!"). They all chipped in to buy him a ring monogrammed with his initials, but since Rollo picked it up we can't be sure if it's not hot. Smitty and Hoppy can't attend because they're investigating a robbery at the Royal Wilshire, courtesy the 'Tip Toe Burglar' (Hoppy: "this was a very big tear off" Smitty: "Rip off!"). With the ring in his pocket, Fred is stunned to learn that Frank Sinatra was the celebrity victim, even his signet ring stolen. Since 'Ol' Blue Eyes' has the same initials as 'Ol' Brown Eyes,' it's not long before Fred worries that Lamont will go to jail for receiving stolen property: "who's gonna drive the truck?" In an attempt to return the signet ring to Sinatra's hotel room, Fred gets caught and winds up behind bars with a drunk (George O'Hanlon): "your breath smell like you been drinkin' Tidy Bowl!" O'Hanlon was remembered as the long suffering Joe McDoakes, while providing the offscreen voice of George Jetson on THE JETSONS, here making his final on screen television appearance.
