Stocking Feat

"We Were Robbed" opens with Fred actually getting some work done for a change, sweeping and dusting when he unintentionally knocks over Lamont's valuable porcelain and glass collection worth over $200. Figuring that he won't believe it to be an accident, Fred devises a plan to call it robbery, hiding the debris in a used fridge while pretending to be unconscious. Lamont finds him on the floor and helps him to a chair for a drink. The tall tale of four white burglars sounds plausible: "I know they wasn't black, you can't get no stocking over one of them big naturals!" Officers Smitty and Swanny (Noam Pitlik, second of six) have to ascertain the facts: "were they colored?" "yeah, white!" Fred is ready to receive a citation for bravery when Lamont discovers the truth, still hidden in the fridge, and turnabout is fair play!
