Final appearance for Skillet and Leroy
kevinolzak11 December 2016
"Wine, Women and Aunt Esther" was the last of five appearances for vaudeville comedy team Ernest 'Slick Skillet' Mayhand and 'Lucky Leroy' Daniels, stepping aside for the rising popularity of their good friend La Wanda Page, also making her fifth appearance. Despondent over the funeral of a dear friend, Fred decides that his entourage needs an evening of fun and frivolity, earning the ire of Aunt Esther: "you just left the house of the lord" "and now I'm in my house!" She tells Lamont she's off to yet another funeral: "you just left one" "this one is hers, can't you tell!" Shady Grady suggests topless dancer Fast Fanny (Bhetty Waldron) to bring in the women, Fred glad to know that she's free: "well not exactly free, but I'm reasonable!" As host Fred supplies the food, drinks and song, dressed in an outfit he bought at a 'going back to jail sale!' At least Skillet and Leroy went out in style, showing off their fleet feet ('Bad Boy Bubba' dances with Skillet!).
