a slight change in approach
jrpa15 February 2020
This one was a little different in that they actually showed the saucer (looked more like a hat) A guy and his young girlfriend were parked on a hill (i would have sworn it was a Mulholland drive overlook) and he looked too old for her and for doing that sort of thing. He seemed younger later though. I really wonder if it was the same actor. In my opinion, this was one of the better ones.

Once again a mysterious sighting coincides with the appearance of a mysterious stranger
jamesrupert201429 December 2021
After seeing what appears to be a flying saucer, a reporter and his girlfriend make a documentary on UFOs only to have it debunked by the girl's astronomer father, but maybe the cryptic stranger who appeared shortly after the sighting has something to add. There is not much to this story other than the set up to the unsurprising surprise ending. The age difference between the love-birds who have the close encounter is 10 years, not as great as it looks in the opening sequences. Truman Bradley opens the episode with a 'are they or aren't they' teaser, a trope the series has visited before.

Flying Saucer, Redux!
Hitchcoc18 July 2013
So many of these shows involve "young" people on the way up, often ready to marry. The main character and his betrothed are necking on hill when they spot a flying saucer. This guy is supposed to be an up and coming reporter. He's about forty-five years old. Also, while up there, they are approached by a strange man who says he needs a ride back to town; his car has broken down. Anyway, the young woman has a father who is a noted astronomer. They go to see him and a big angry to do takes place. The "young" man is embarrassed and sets out to prove the old man wrong. He makes a documentary, enlisting a series of flying saucer observers. It, of course, proves nothing and he is embarrassed a second time. Plus, he has wasted nearly 300 dollars making the film. There is a kicker, of course, and that's what makes us think at the end. I remember the ending from when I was a kid in the fifties. It had a lot more impact then.
