Okay story...excellent acting.

The subject matter for "Little Man, Big World" is quite unusual for a teleplay and although the acting is quite good, the show is just odd.

The story begins in some small town. Apparently the local police commissioner has done a good job in prosecuting organized crime, though it still flourishes under the rule of the mob's #2 man, Arky (Jack Palance). But there's trouble brewing for the mob...a larger rival mob is looking to take over...and there may be nothing the small mob can do about it. As all this is happening, a baby has been dumped in Arky's girlfriend's lap. Anna is thrilled....and at first Arky is less than thrilled at the idea of being a dad. What's next? See the show.

This episode of "Studio One" sports an excellent cast of familiar character actors, such as Jack Warden, Harry Townes, Ray Walston and Jack Palance. Palance, in particular, is quite good. My only complaint is the story...which was only fair. Still, worth seeing as nearly all the surviving prints of this fine series.
