Major Gallagher was on sick leave with a minor 24 hour bug...nothing serious. But the pilot who ended up taking his place ended up getting killed...and Gallagher has a major case of guilt. TO help try to assuage it, he visits the dead man's fiancee, May. May soon has managed to wrap the Major around her finger...and she is NOT the sweet, grieving woman she claims to be.
This is a very good episode, as irrational guilt is a part of war and so, sometimes, are bad women who are looking to take advantage of a soldier or pilot. Well written and different!
