too little of Nikki Cox, but hilarious (part I)

So what if Jack gave Jennie a glass diamond for an engagement ring? She still got the better of the deal! She isn't worth the zircon! And I can't think of a bigger waste of money than breast implants for that thoroughly nasty woman.

Mr. Floppy is the high point of this episode, especially when he expresses his desire to date Cindy Crawford. Remember, he is Jack's alter ego, the hallucination that comes to life for only him (and for us, the lucky viewers). I pity the people who do not see what fun Floppy represents. Floppy speaks out like no other character on film ever. The little guy tells it as it is, straight out, without fear of repercussion, he is (after all) simply a foul-mouthed puppet. The references to idols of the time are always spot-on, embarrassingly biting as they may be. "I'd like to kill Madonna, and blame it on Sandra Bernhard" has got to be one of the darkest things ever said on prime- time TV, and who else would get away with it?

Episode features too little of Nicky Cox, which is why it has brought down my score. It is left to the older generation to do the entertaining. I am biased against that, but that is because of my stance as the Glam DVD Collector. It remains hilarious. What a pity the series is not available on an authorized DVD.
