Randall Has To Expose Clever Killers
ccthemovieman-127 September 2006
An interesting opening sets up this story as we see a man who had just been knocked out lying on the ground. The man over him puts his wallet on the unconscious man's body. His girlfriend enters the scene and coldly shoots the prone man twice, killing him.

It turns out the man who set this up - the one who planted the wallet - is a wanted criminal whom Josh Randall is after. The plan is to think the wanted man, "Vic Warsaw" (Don Durant) is dead. "Miss Lucy" (Betsy Drake), the cold- hearted woman in on this scam, is the town seamstress and liked and trusted by everyone. She is the key character in this story.

As soon as Josh finds out the dead man was a penniless man, who even had holes in his socks, he figures out that it's not "Vic" that was killed and buried and that the real wanted man is probably still in town and in cahoots with "Lucy Fremont."

The rest of the story is interesting as we find out how Randall can uncover the truth in this fraud-murder. It's another good episode.

Evil Is As Evil Does
jmarchese31 May 2014
Suspense is evident as Lucy Fremont (played by Betsy Drake) shoots an already unconscious man to help her lover Vic Warsaw (played by Don Durant) elude authorities.

Josh Randall investigates the alleged death of Vic Warsaw, whom he had been tailing for a series of violent crimes. Something does not fit.

What's remarkable about The Spurs is the evil nature of main principal Lucy Freemont, who the townspeople absolutely adore. In this episode, one learns that looks and appearances can be very deceiving.

Betsy Drake does an excellent job of playing the villainess and the story makes one think about how Josh knows what's going on.
