Decent Episode with Verisimilitude
Hitchcoc2 February 2020
When five bodies are found in a truck arriving from France, Wycliffe has to leave his anniversary party and investigate. The acting is particularly good in this one as is the plot. It is a harsh portrayal of the trafficking of immigrants.

Dead on Arrival
Prismark109 August 2021
While Wycliffe celebrates his 25th wedding anniversary.

Customs at the docks find five dead bodies in an trailer of a truck.

Wycliffe finds himself investigating a people smuggling ring. The driver of the truck has disappeared.

The owner of the haulage company appears to be cooperative but Wycliffe is sure that he is hiding something.

The third series introduces a major change. Previously the viewer saw Wycliffe talking to his family on the phone. This time his wife and kids appear.

People smuggling has become a topical issue over the last two decades. This was done almost a quarter of a century ago, showing it is nothing new.

This was a decent enough episode but it was always clear that someone major persuaded the truck driver to take in the migrants for money.
