Monty Nash has to get gangster Jason Manning to testify in a court in Chicago.
Manning upset his bosses for fooling around with one of their wives. A cardinal sin.
Pretty soon, Nash's car gets a puncture in a road covered with nails. It is a good site for an ambush.
Every move Nash makes, someone knows about it. As Manning tells him their is a leak at his end.
Given this is a 30 minute episode called The Longest Ride. It was very pedestrian and cheap looking.
Nash has very little imagination. He could had literally jumped on a bus or train or got several rental cars. I thjink he got the message when his helicopter ride did not work out.
The voice over at the end recalls a type of patriotism you would get in a 1950s serial. It looks out of place in an America that was mired in social unrest and the Vietnam war. Then again it did come out before Watergate.
