Adventures of a little girl and her friends with the King to the rescue
louiseculmer20 June 2015
i remember the little laura series with great fondness. it was based on the little Laura series of picture books by V.H. Drummond, in which Little laura has various adventures, accompanied by her nanny and her friend Billie Guftie, and often by Grebo, the Most Special of all Special Policemen. usually Laura, with her cry of "what larkish fun!" has some mishap of a not too alarming nature (in Little laura on the River for example she is on a river trip and takes a ride on a swan and gets lost.) Usually the King turns up in the nick of time to save the situation accompanied by his bodyguard, Sir Archie Argyle. Nanny is always delighted to see the King ("Nanny loves Royalty"). I wonder if these charming films still exist? it would be nice if they turned up on DVD one day.
