This is an excellent short film. The photography was great, showing the natural beauty of Hawaii without the buildings and developments. The colors and lighting and framing of the scenes enhanced the unspoiled beauty of this particular part of Hawaii. The setting was perfect in conveying the "feeling" of Hawaii on Dec 7, 1941. The story was an interesting presentation of an aspect of the attack on Pearl Harbor that doesn't get much attention. The acting was excellent. It was a little difficult watching Ray Bumatai, since this was his last on-screen performance. This short piece is an wonderful exclamation point on his career. My understanding is that this short is part of a series of shorts that are all related. I look forward to those other parts.
