Warning: Spoilers
Being the first episode of the second season you see several changes including the new office building in Warwick, RI, as well as, the new mobile command center (aka the black van). The continuing drama with Brian and is losing equipment and lying to TAPS has led to Jason and Grant to consider dismissing him from the team.

As with the investigation itself, TAPS is using three new members; Paula Donovan, Kristyn Gartland, and Jenn Rossi to help strengthen their numbers. The tour guide at Myrtles claims that the ghost of a slave woman, as well as, a confederate soldier are seen on the grounds. Other phenomenon included seeing the reflection of children in a mirror, footsteps heard on the staircase, and feelings like your clothes are being tugged.

From the standpoint of apparitions, nothing is seen conclusively although a couple of thermals shots are seen, both by Jason and Grant. One on the staircase shows a temperature change, but nothing conclusive and the other what appears to be the upper torso of a human crossing their path as the walk outside. Also while outside near the pond, Brian and Steve keep seeing a dark figure look out from behind a tree, but nothing is caught on film. Once reviewing the IR cameras, at one point it appears that possible an intruder was outside of the front door. And the most compelling evidence; Jason and Grant are sitting in one of the bedrooms and keep remarking that it feels like they are being watched, once the crew reviews the IR you can see a lamp levitate across a table over about a four minute period. Although they attempted to debunk the movement, they were never able to fully duplicate.

While this is not the greatest episode that you may come across, the fact that they possible caught something paranormal at least makes for an interesting debate.

Ghost Hunters-Myrtles Plantation

Warning: Spoilers
As was the case in Season One, Brian Harnois yet again becomes a constant object of criticism. Jason and Grant talk consistently about his inability to run things smoothly, his deficiencies as a tech coordinator. Team TAPS even took his case managing duties away, providing Donna with a little more to do this time around. This first episode of the second season shows that Jason and Grant finally were able to move their paranormal operation command center into the city of Warwick, Rhode Island, their headquarters much nicer, with plenty of space. The case this time around has Team TAPS heading to St Francisville, Louisiana, at the Myrtles Plantation where claims of hauntings have happened for many, many years--to hear it from Grant and Jason, it is considered one of the most haunted places in the country. Anyway, the Team are allowed to spend the entire night inside the main house and work over night to try and find any type of activity. Most of the real action happens across the thermal where images appear but these supposed possible apparitions aren't visible outside the device. The location, quite a setting with plenty of history, is a real treat for the team. An aged mirror with cracks and damage, where claims of reflections have been cited, isn't impressive to Grant and Jason who believe it to merely send off disorienting images of the people themselves who are spooked by it. A moving lamp is also hotly debated about as it is steadily shifting across the table right next to Grant as he and Jason are contemplating their ghost hunting efforts. The drama regarding Brian does continue after this, and I think you sense his fate with the team is doomed for failure. Not only does the team have a brand new place to function stronger as paranormal investigators, they also renovate their van so that they can monitor what is going on while the lights are off without getting in the way.
