...Isn't it a bit too soon after LIVE AT THE STARLAND BALLROOM?
Meven_Stoffat6 February 2007
Don't get me wrong, Coheed and Cambria are an awesome band. I have watched Their LIVE AT THE STARLAND BALLROOM DVD countless times. The other day, I had sat down to watch this DVD. I was really excited about it, because it was Coheed and Cambria.

Believe me- If you are expecting a great DVD... well, this is not it.

The performance is good, the songs sound AMAZING live. However, Here are the pros and cons of the concert:

PROS: -It's nice to see that they are performing some of their new album -There are three videos from the new album on the DVD -The performance is AMAZING! I wish I was at the concert for the performance. -The sound makes you feel like you're there.

CONS: -If it's a concert supporting their newest album, why are only four tracks performed? -VERY BAD SETLIST! Why the hell didn't they perform my all time favorite, "Junesong Provision"? What about "Apollo I: The Writing Writer"? "Devil In Jersey City"? "Crossing The Frame"? "Once Upon Your Dead Body"? "The Velourium Camper II: Backend Of Forever"? "The Light and the Glass"? " -The editing is HORRIBLE -The back of the DVD says there was an interview with Claudio. But if 1 minute of discussion with fans and a 15 second response from Claudio is considered an interview, that's news to me. -No behind-the-scenes footage, just warm-up footage. -Why is Josh's swearing at the beginning edited and Claudio's during the set edited?

So if you're a fan like me, then buy this- but otherwise, stick to the LATSLBR DVD.

A response to the review of The Last Supper

To the person who posted the review, I disagree with what you said. I'll admit the set list could have been better, but there are a couple of reasons to why they did not play "your" idea of a perfect set list. First, IKSSE 3 was at the time certified gold, which is why they chose to include most of that particular albums songs. Yes, they could have added more of the lesser known songs to the list..but they also wanted to get the word out to people about GAIBS IV for those who may not have gotten the memo yet. Which is why they only put four songs on the set list. It was kind of a "hey if you don't know, these are a few of our songs from our latest album" type of thing. They did play Everything Evil from SSTB so they gave people their fill of the first album along with a few others. Now, on to the special features. The three videos are great so I'll leave them alone. When the DVD box says "Behind the Scenes" in this case they meant, in between songs, so as to not get people overloaded too quickly..They interviewed Claudio twice I think..that was part of the "Behind the Scenes" the other part was the interviewing of the fans, by getting to know what they thought BEFORE THE SHOW!! Hence the other part of the "Behind the Scenes". I personally thought the DVD was great, even though the Starland Ballroom DVD had a lot more extra content. If you wanna get your fill of IKSSE 3 in a set list along with SSTB, go back and watch the Starland Ballroom DVD..but leave this one alone, its as great as it comes..plus this was the last DVD to feature Josh Eppard before his untimely departure from Coheed and Cambria.

I hope you read this whoever you are, so maybe it will knock some sense into you!! Email me if you want to argue about it!!!
