Classic Christmas Songs and Classic Peter, Paul and Mary Songs
KennyBaranTaylor13 December 2015
I came across this holiday concert back in the early 1990's on PBS and watched it every year until they stopped airing it. Thankfully I had a VHS copy so I was able to continue the tradition of watching this several times during the holidays. I recently purchased the DVD and am once again enjoying this concert. Peter, Paul and Mary are well known for their numerous hits during the 1960's and their voices blend very well. They are backed by an orchestra and concert choir. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves great music and talented singers. The trio seamlessly switches from traditional Christmas carols to songs they composed as well as to songs they took the top of the charts. Be prepared to wipe tears away as they sing Blowin In The Wind, or to recall your childhood when Puff The Magic Dragon is sung. Among my favorites is Children Go Where I Send Thee as well as Silent Night and the Cherry Tree Carol.

A must watch for Christmas nostalgia

I was 5 years old when this first aired, and my mother would play it every year throughout my childhood. Being able to buy it on dvd and have it now as an adult is truly a gift. I love this classic, and I think that Paul's rendition of "Oh Come, Oh Come Emmanuel" is the best I've ever heard. They play awesome Christmas classics as well as their songs, and it is a truly heart touching experience. Anyone who can't enjoy this has something wrong with their brain. Peter Paul and Mary's Holiday Concert is one of my favorite things ever.
