I usually don't write reviews, but everything that happens in this episode is insane. You're thrown for such a loop with Holland, at first the episode makes you think that he's being immature and trying to run away from his responsiblities (and from taking care of Eureka), something that isn't helped by him constantly lashing out at Renton, yet by the end you realize he's been doing the complete opposite. This is something that we knew before, but this episode defines that more than ever. Most of all though, the way this episode ends with Renton going in to rescue Holland (despite being forbidden to pilot the Nirvash), which ends up escalating into him having a mental breakdown after constantly messing up so much, and rampaging through all the enemy soldiers, left me dumbfounded. The imagery of the dead soldier's mangled arm at the end especially left me with the exact sense of dread the show was going for, and that rarely happens to me.
I'm going to watch the next episode right now, can't wait to see how they follow this up.
