Gaara is using his own sand and his Jinchuriki tecnichs to effectively caught him. Sasori is looking from almost the edge of the Hinden Village of the Sand ⏳, as he doesn't like to be kept waiting. New Bonds

Warning: Spoilers
Following a succesful training, Tsunade and Shizune congratulate Naruto and Sakura, and they are assigned back to the original team, but this time, they and Kakashi will be teammates. Kakashi is stunned to learn that Naruto never got to know the ending of Jiraiya's book, so he and Sakura were happy about the trick. Later, Jiraiya leaves his pupil to Kakashi, and says thay he'll go to investigate the Akatsuki. Sadly, he doesn't share a farewell with the protagonist. Anyway, night has arrived, the effort made the ninjas hungry, so much that they ignore Kakashi's story about a new jutsu. Naruto and Sakura intend for their sensei to pay the meal, but he makes an excuse and leaves to finish the book. Naruto tells Sakura that this should be a date, and she accepts but if he pays. Sadly, seems like he doesn't have enough money. As the next episode will show, he ends up eating with Iruka, and Sakura ends up somewhere else but regrets not having accepted his offer of paying half each one. It's nice to see the characters this way considering how they were in Naruto. Shippuden shows how much they changed, though they maintain some of their personalities, now they take things differently, they are able to forget for a time all the past drama, Orochimaru, Sasuke, the Akatsuki. Seeing Sakura accept a date with Naruto, despite the condition, tells that she's no longer a blind girl. I wished they could have got all the road together, because their bond grew stronger in Shippuden. On these episodes, I can see that even without Sasuke, Naruto and Sakura were happy, enjoying their life at Konoha. Anyway, this part serves as a contrast to the fight between Gaara and Deidara.

Gaara continues to defend himself from the explosives, and starts the counterattack. He manages to trap Deidara's left arm, but the villain escapes. Deidara doesn't seem shocked which implies that he has a plan. Baki is worried about the Shukaku, but Kankuro assures that Gaara would never hurt his own people. It's revealed through a flashback, that Gaara chose to be Kazekage to prove the village that he can lead them and protect them. He wants to change the way people look at him, just as Naruto did, so he can share his emotions and life with them. Naruto inspired him to abandon loneliness and start to bond with the village. Here is explained the first heart's change caused by the protagonist, following the events of the first part. As the fight goes on, Deidara uses a bigger bird to cause a larger explosion, so Gaara is forced to protect everyone. This episode ends up perfectly, and shows how a true leader behaves. Gaara's progression to become a good leader was possible, not only thanks to Naruto, also because Kankuro and Temari. He had two siblings loving and supporting him, that made things more easier. Now he is a great character.
