Series 4 is a Whirlpool Sinking the Players

It seems the whole season was just one negative thing after another. And not funny banter either. In fact, actual meanness to each other. It could have been upbeat staging it for an expanded operation with new fun characters. But, it's essentially it's a throw away for all parties.

Where are Floyd? Mia? Charlie? Why is Matt with the very unlikeable April?Has Hugh learned anything? Why does Penny seem so angry? Does Merrill have a shred of integrity? The spark that made the first 3 seasons so much fun seems to be completely gone

I was so excited to know another season was in the making. But this first episode was so disappointing that I didn't even want to see the second episode. Luckily it was better but still not the quality of the previous seasons.

No one likeable remains and former cast members are blithely written out. Painful.

Really? Are the writers incredibly inept, or just sabotaging this show deliberately? Penny has a likely suitor for marriage in Jerrod, and her kid (for whom she supposedly left her career-enhancing Research fellowship in Sydney - and which would have changed the entire landscape with her relationship to Hugh) is suddenly AWOL from WhyHope? Break Ken's heart by eliminating Mia? With all their issues, they leave no clue to the situation with Matt and Charlie after she returns from Bali - other than April moved in and Charlie moved out??!? Why the bloody H is Matt even with her??! She's almost as unlikeable as the petulant Ajax - what a predator, and a jerk! Other than wanting a baby (which Charlie realized she didn't want after all), why would Matt even give her the time of day (Could be wrong, but it seemed Matt wants kids, but just as importantly, real love, which he has with Charlie)? April basically pounced on him like the desperate B-TCH she is WHILE he is still married and has the nerve to demand his wife leave - tart! I cringe whenever she is on screen...yuk! Hugh has had opportunities to return to Sydney, yet he's still trapped in WhyHope - why don't they spend some time exploring his return to the city, while splitting the time with the antics/shenanigans in WhyHope? Ugh - for the first time, not looking forward to a follow up season, if it happens...will still probably watch the rest of season 4, but reluctantly. With Glitch abruptly ended, and this nonsense, where will I get my Rodger Corser fix, LoL?

Really hate new character Tara, and the other characters have seemingly gone over to the dark side. Thankfully there was less of hair-style-train-wreck Ajax in first episode (and actress playing Charlie no longer obviously pregnant -- an ironic twist considering her aversion to having children) but even though a year has passed, what happened to Mia? Floyd? Raph? Where did the mining manager come from. Or the mine for that matter. Show has lost it's charm.
