Very Funny
Dizzy_Lizzie8623 June 2007
I saw this movie at the Hoboken film festival, and I grabbed a flyer that read "loved it? hated it? review it! at IMDb.com" so that's what I'm doing.

All I can say is that this movie really hit home on all the right levels. A very enthusiastic audience reaction added to the experience, but I must say I would have really liked it had I watched it at home. The script was very funny, and the cast hammered everything home. The chemistry between the characters - a panicking Groom played almost to perfection by Rob Brock and his "Bad-Boy" Best Man played by Loring Murtha was phenomenal. The pushy Bride played by Lindsay Paige and her "always a bridesmaid" Maid of Honor played by Valerie Primavera had just the right amount of sarcasm and jealousy to make the audience pop at all the right places. And for just the right touch of dramedy enter James FitzGerald as Ian, the suave playboy who mixes everything up.

I would also like to add what I enjoyed so much about the movie was the reactions of the cast when they didn't have lines. These great shots really, really added to the movie. Very funny all across the board.

I'm hopeful for the cast that this gets noticed because they really did an outstanding job. I hope to see each and every one of them in future projects.

I gave it a 9 out of 10 because of a funny script and a great acting job all around.

A cute little comedy

Warning: Spoilers
This is a clever little comedy about a couple just about to be married. It uses juxtapositions of conversations between the bride-to-be and the maid of honor along with separate conversations between the groom-to-be and the best man. It's very clever, as the bride is excited and is sure that the marriage will be a great success--while the groom is scared to death and has no idea why he's getting married. He has a ton of excuses but it also becomes apparent later in the film that some of his trepidation is because his bride is so dominant--and he's not sure he can spend his life with someone this strong. As the camera cuts back and forth, the differences between the pairs couldn't be any greater. So, it's up to the best man to come to the rescue in a very funny conclusion.

The film is written very well and I like the style as well. The only reservation, and it's minor, is that the language is a bit rough, so it's not a film for the kids.
