After Trump Campaign Posts Video Referencing A ‘Unified Reich,’ Biden Blasts Use ‘Hitler’s Language’
Former President Donald Trump’s campaign deleted a video showing the words “unified Reich” from social media, which caused an uproar.
On May 20, Trump’s Truth Social account shared a 30-second campaign video that displayed a message about a “unified Reich” in America if he becomes president again this November.
The video, deleted from Truth Social and Instagram on Tuesday, had also been posted to the former president’s Instagram account.
It contained a series of headlines predicting “what happens after Donald Trump wins” and “what’s next for America,” with responses like, “Economy Booms!” and “15 Million Illegal Aliens Deported.”
The somewhat blurred text appeared beneath the headlines two times in the clip.
“Industrial strength significantly increased … driven by the creation of a unified Reich,” the text read.
The term “Reich” means “realm” or “empire,” which is often associated with Adolf Hitler’s Third Reich, which began in Nazi Germany...

During a rally in Dayton, Ohio, last week, Former President Donald Trump declared that some illegal immigrants should not be considered people and warned that it will be a “bloodbath” if he does not get reelected.
“I don’t know if you call them people,” Trump stated at the rally. “In some cases, they’re not people, in my opinion. But I’m not allowed to say that because the radical left says that’s a terrible thing to say.”
Trump was in Ohio to campaign with Senate candidate Bernie Moreno, who went on to win the Republican nomination to challenge Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown.
Moreno, a businessman, faced a scandal when it was revealed that a profile on an adult website was linked to him seeking the company of “young men.”
“We don’t need to vote in five different languages,” he argued. “We learn the language. It means you assimilate.

On Friday, former President Donald Trump claimed his mug shot and criminal charges appeal to black voters.
Trump spoke at the Black Conservative Federation’s annual Gala in Columbia, South Carolina. There, he stated, “I got indicted a second time and a third time and a fourth time, and a lot of people said that that’s why the black people like me.”
Trump attempted to relate his issues to the issues faced in the black community. “Because they have been hurt so badly and discriminated against, and they actually viewed me as I’m being discriminated against,” he said.

During The Daily Show segment “Jordan Klepper Fingers the Pulse” released Tuesday, correspondent Jordan Klepper headed to a Trump rally to ask supporters about presidential candidate Nikki Haley’s chances at the primary and the possibility of a Trump dictatorship, which the former president has alluded to and then later claimed he was kidding about it. To some Trump supporters, some of whom were dressed in American flag swim trunks and Maga caps, the answer rolled off their tongue.
One supporter suggested, “that’s what we need,” in reference to the dictatorship.

Donald Trump spoke at Whittemore Center Arena on the campus of University of New Hampshire in Durham on Saturday. He slammed his opponents, taking swipes at Republican presidential primary nominees Nikki Haley and Chris Christie — whom Trump, not a poster child of fitness himself, called “a fat pig.” But Trump reserved most of his ire for President Joe Biden, who beat him four years ago in an election Trump refuses to accept was legitimate.
The former president also echoed the words of Adolf Hitler during his anti-immigrant ranting at the rally.

Keith Richards and Mick Jagger have had their issues over the years, but Richards’ frustration over Jagger’s solo career threatened to break up The Rolling Stones. The guitarist resented the fact that Jagger prioritized his solo music over a Rolling Stones tour. It didn’t help that he flat-out disliked Jagger’s album. In his memoir, Richards disparaged his bandmate’s album. Here’s the surprising reason he compared it to Mein Kampf.
Keith Richards openly disliked Mick Jagger’s solo album
While The Rolling Stones worked on their album Dirty Work, Jagger simultaneously promoted his debut solo album, She’s the Boss. Richards found this frustrating, at least partly because he didn’t think the album was worth it.
“Mick’s album was called She’s the Boss, which said it all,” he wrote in his memoir Life. “I’ve never listened to the entire thing all the way through.

Keith Richards and Mick Jagger consider each other brothers and, in their decades of knowing each other, have fought as only families can. Their relationship suffered in the 1980s, and they’ve hit many bumps in the years since. Still, they manage to work together in The Rolling Stones. This might have something to do with the fact that Richards has learned to appreciate all that Jagger does, even when he’s frustrated with him. He shared how his own solo career helped with this.
Keith Richards said his solo career gave him a new appreciation for Mick Jagger
In 1986, Jagger opted to work on his solo career instead of touring with The Rolling Stones. While this caused a major rift within the band, it also gave Richards an opportunity to pursue a solo career of his own. He formed the group X-Pensive Winos with Steve Jordan. For the first...

Until last week, any Spotify user could access a playlist titled “Musikkorps Der Leibstandarte — SS Adolf Hitler Radio” — so named for the Nazi fuhrer’s personal corps of bodyguards. The streaming service itself generated the track list, and multiple Rolling Stone staffers each received a different mix upon loading it. Depending on Spotify’s algorithm, the streaming service chose different — often benign — national anthems from throughout history, but two playlists featured music by Das Luftwaffenmusikkorps 3 (named after the Nazi air force).

Over the weekend, the Twitter account for a London police department shared that officers had arrested suspects for possession of “a large amount of cannabis,” including a picture of what appeared to be some truly foul weed. The replies on the post quickly filled up with jokes about the cops confiscating hedge trimmings, loose leaf chamomile tea, and so on — but one tweet included a fake audio clip of President Joe Biden explaining that he actually prefers low-quality pot.

After wowing audiences at the Venice Film Festival with his previous feature, 99 Homes, Ramin Bahrani comes to Cannes with his eagerly-awaited adaptation of Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451. Alas, hopes for a hard-hitting, high-quality film were quickly shot down in flames, for this is not so much a pyrotechnic masterclass as a bit of a damp squib.
The story revolves around fireman Guy Montag (Michael B. Jordan). His job is not to put out fires, but to burn books – or hard drives – as the state strives to eliminate all such ‘graffiti’ from society. Montag is a handsome, photogenic pin-up for the firemen and he pursues his book-burning profession unquestioningly. He lives in luxury, in an antiseptic high-tech apartment, with an all-seeing eye that looks after all his needs, from reminding him to take his eye drops to applauding his sartorial decisions. Dark Star has acquired U.S. rights to Henrik Ruben Genz’s (“The Killing”) Danish drama-comedy “Word of God” from LevelK.
Based on the best-selling Danish book by the same name, “Word of God” stars the renowned Swedish singer Lisa Nilsson and Danish actor Søren Malling. It portrays a family’s life in suburbia and the madness that lurks behind their curtains when the patriarch decides to write his memoirs and considers calling them “Mein Kampf.”
“‘Word of God’ is a very unique snapshot of an oddball family. Highlighted by spectacular performances, sharp dialogue and brilliant cinematography; the film takes audiences on a roller-coaster through the full spectrum of emotions,” said Michael Repsch, president of Dark Star Pictures.
The film was produced by Signe Leick Jensen and Morten Kaufmann at Toolbox Film, in co-production with Deluca Film and with production funding from the Danish Film Institute. Scanbox Entertainment helmed the distribution in Scandinavia.

Music Box Films’s genre label Doppelgänger Releasing and Germany’s Ascot Elite have acquired U.S. and German distribution rights, respectively, to Finnish back metal comedy “Heavy Trip” from LevelK.
The film, which had its world premiere at SXSW, follows Turo, a musician from a small village in Northern Finland who takes his undiscovered heavy metal band on an eventful road trip to play at Norway’s biggest heavy metal music festival. The band went on to become the famed Finnish group Impaled Rektum. The movie stars Johannes Holopainen, Minka Kuustonen and Ville Tiihonen.
“We’ve been on the hunt for something a little different for Doppelgänger Releasing,” said Lisa Holmes of Music Box Films/Doppelgänger Releasing. “’Heavy Trip’ is such a fun combination of humor, heart and of course, heavy metal that we couldn’t resist the opportunity to bring this to American audiences.”

German news magazine Stern’s latest cover features U.S. President Donald Trump draped in an American flag and doing the Nazi salute. It’s the latest publication to target Trump for failing to quickly condemn white supremacists and neo-Nazis after the violent rallies in Charlottesville, Virginia, earlier this month. The featured article is titled, “Sein Kampf,” a play on Adolf Hitler’s 1925 autobiography “Mein Kampf,” which was translated in English as “My Struggle.” “Kampf” can also be translated as “fight.” The subheadline reads: “His Struggle: Ku Klux Klan, Racism: How Donald Trump Stirs the Hate in America.” Also Read: Crying Charlottesville Neo-Nazi Leader Turns.

“Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough slammed CNN’s Jim Acosta on Thursday morning, saying his actions toward Senior White House adviser Stephen Miller during Wednesday’s White House press briefing were “like something out of Mein Kampf.” Mein Kampf is a 1925 autobiographical book by Nazi Party leader Adolf Hitler, so it was clearly meant as an insult. Miller and Acosta got into a heated battle of words during the briefing, and while Scarborough has ripped Miller in the past, the “Morning Joe” panel felt Acosta was mostly at fault. “This is why people hate the press,” Washington Examiner columnist Tim Carney said.

Ryan Prows’ Lowlife is a true-to-form sonofabitch. From frame one, the film smacks of Tarantino hoodishness – but sustainability is key. A larger story is divided into chapters, as Prows navigates this messy grey zone where “decent” people merely hope to survive. Lives collide, all connected by a single taco-slinging underworld boss. There’s vibrant character work and a surprising fluidity in jagged narration, but one segment remains the ugly ducking of this cartoonish Barrio calamity. That’s the only thing bogging down Prows’ big-picture vision, and even at that, remaining cinematics do all the talking.
The fun of Lowlife is experiencing scenes as they come at you, so I’ll be brief and spoiler-free. Necessary information is that Teddy “Bear” Haynes (Mark Burnham) is an asshole you don’t want to mess with. Welcome to the latest installment in our regular Movies You May Have Missed series here on Nerdly, in which I highlight some of, what I think, are the best movies that have flown under the radar of many or have been “forgotten” in the intervening years since its release. This time round its a fantastic British comedy, Pulp.
Official Synopsis:
Thunder Racers, Infinite Finity, Rat Warriors. Junk Comics’ titles have been referred to as ‘the worst printed material since Mein Kampf’. Tony Leary, the nice-guy owner of Junk Comics, is gearing up for one last roll of the dice. His new superhero title, The Sodomizer, launches at the British International Comic Show, and nothing will stop Tony from making it a success. Nothing except a gang of Geordie criminals who are using a comic company to launder their dirty money. Tony is drafted by the police to identify the culprits and bring them to justice.

“Bob, we need to talk.”
Those are normally not words I dread. I like a good conversation as well as the next guy and a good deal better, if the next guy happens to be Calvin Coolidge. But, as I studied the room full of people in front of me — family, friends, even editors — all trying desperately not to catch my eye, I knew this wasn’t going to be a good conversation.
“Is this an intervention?” I asked. I didn’t need an answer. Their expressions screamed: this is an intervention.

Director Mick Jackson on Denial, Donald Trump, directing films, and how he followed The Bodyguard...
Mick Jackson has lived through several chapters of his directorial career. His background was television, in particular the stunning Threads, and his classy adaptation of Chris Mullins’ A Very British Coup. Then he went to Hollywood, directing the likes of L.A. Story, The Bodyguard and Volcano.
He’s been away from cinema for a while, courtesy of some intriguing television projects. But he returns to the big screen this weekend with Denial, a classy courtroom drama that brings the story of Holocaust denier David Irving’s infamous libel action to the cinema. We snagged a chat with him ahead of its release, with the promise of further conversation about his 90s output at a later date too.
Can you talk us through this particular film, and why you wanted to bring it to the big screen?...

I hate writing about this. I hate having to write about this so frequently. But this is the world we live in.
As my ol’ pal Martha Thomases wrote a couple days ago, I tend to have a thing about free speech. I’m an absolutist. In my fevered brain, I figure we don’t have free speech unless it’s complete and it covers everything, in all forms of expression. Some people put limitations on what will be tolerated and they put restrictions on what can be said and where things can be said. Even if I were the one making those decisions – an amusing concept – that is not free speech. As I keep on saying, I would not remove Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf from the libraries, although I would use the book to teach high schoolers the cause and effect of hate speech.

Every few years I write a real world advice article for young creators. My Bad Boy Studio mentor program has produced some exceptional graduates working in comics, television, illustration and related media.
I’ve also taught and/or lectured at The Joe Kubert School, Pratt Institute, The School Of Visual Arts, Rhode Island School of Design, the High School Of Art & Design and yadda, yadda, whatever.
Quick note; Yogi Berra said it best: “It ain’t bragging if you can do it.”
So save your “Davis is bragging bullshit” comments for someone who hasn’t done what I’ve done.
You do that, and I’ll spare you how I wrote the curriculum for the Art School of the Museum of Modern Art and how my name is on a arts magnet school in East Orange New Jersey and, no, I didn’t write MOTU187 in spray-paint on the building.

Quick note; Yogi Berra said it best: “It ain’t bragging if you can do it.”
So save your “Davis is bragging bullshit” comments for someone who hasn’t done what I’ve done.

A 2015 New York Times investigation found that 74 percent of Us law enforcement agencies considered far right extremists a bigger threat than Islamic terrorists. Which makes the new thriller Imperium an important film, if just because of its subject matter.
When a shipment of smuggled Cesium is discovered by the FBI, the agency is quick to presume it was intended for a radical Muslim terrorist cell. But case agent Angelina Zampino (Toni Collette) suspects it was the work of white supremacists, and against her superiors wishes sends idealistic young analyst Nate Foster (Daniel Radcliffe) undercover to investigate. He shaves his head, reads up on Timothy McVey and Mein Kampf, and soon enough he's in deep, way over his head.
On paper, it’s Donnie Brasco with Neo-Nazis instead of the mob. And that’s a mostly accurate take on the film. If you've...

He's made friends, enemies, some memorable Eighties movies, loads of Tiger Beat covers, a didn't-see-that-coming comedic comeback and a few notorious sex tapes — and now, Rob Lowe can say that he's truly arrived, because Comedy Central has roasted him. Joining the ranks of Hugh Hefner, Justin Bieber, Flavor Flav and this guy, the former Brat Pack heartthrob willingly stepped up on the dais with a bullseye on his back, as everyone from roastmaster Jeffrey Ross (dressed as Purple Rain-era Prince) to Jewel (?!?) laid into him with the most offensive zingers imaginable.
