Stolen Painting On A Cruise Mystery
richard.fuller119 July 2009
Warning: Spoilers
This episode manages to split up the usual groupings with Susie going with the younger ones.

At the beginning, we are given an interchangeable band, as Henry goes from drums to bass (or cello, whatever that is), Susie and Anne are on guitar, Tom is now on drums, Alan is on keyboard and I believe Stanley got a trumpet.

Usually it would be Tom or Alan to have a slide trombone or clarinet, tho Anne played a trumpet in one number.

A rich woman's painting is stolen.

The maid and other ship staff are awfully suspicious.

Pretty amusing bit to see suspects enter at the end and suddenly join the Chan family in hiding in the dark to see who enters next.

Paul Winchell voice-work as the ventriloquist dummy, always a plus to hear Winchell.

And Stanley does a pretty funny bit as a raggedy old curly blonde maid who tries to get a glass with fingerprints.

His appearance when he does these little disguises is actually funnier than whatever takes place when he is in the getup, tho his acceptance of failure to fool the desk clerk when he dressed as an old man is pretty worth the chuckles as well.
