Doctor Who has appointed two new writers for the upcoming eighth series.
Wallander writer Peter Harness and Being Human scribe Jamie Mathieson have both confirmed their involvement on Twitter.

Harness has previously written scripts for Channel 4's City of Vice, BBC One's Case Histories and Michael Caine movie Is Anybody There?.
Mathieson is best known for writing the 2009 comedy Faq About Time Travel, while he has also written episodes of Being Human and Dirk Gently.
Steven Moffat will write two episodes of Peter Capaldi's first series as The Doctor, while there will also be episodes by Mark Gatiss, Phil Ford, Stephen Thompson and Gareth Roberts.

The original British series, Being Human, premieres in the UK with season three on Sunday, January 23, 2011 on BBC3. According to show creator Toby Whithouse, season three takes the “best bits” of the first two seasons for a brand new look into the supernatural lives of Mitchell, George, Annie, and Nina.
