Not a good detective story
daisukereds13 July 2020
As a stand alone movie, this doesn't quite work.. I wonder if the novel it is based on takes more time to familiarize the reader with the main pair characters. As it stands, to me, it feels like a sequel you probably shouldn't watch first.

Also, if you know what the plot of the movie is, then you might think that "playing detective" in such a situation is the least useful thing to do. Specially because there is a "dark past" premise that is rather obvious since the beginning (which is even mentioned by the movie itself at the start). I probably wouldn't mind being in this situation if you are unrelated to the people there. So straight up, there is no tension, and becomes more a survival story than a detective plot.. and not a particularly interesting one. Sure, it is well done and has a nice location, camera work, etc.. But it also felt childish in every other way.

It would be hard to recommend this to someone not particularly interested in the development of the main character and his specific personality.

Unique Zombie Detective concept

Not much to say here, but if you love Zombies and Detective Conan you will enjoy this as much as I do, it's a comedy so you don't need to think deeply on the plot, it's a good flick for me. Hoping for a sequel <3 PS: Minami Hamabe is sooooo cute <3
