It's bad enough the villain is a guy who makes people dizzy, and anyone who wears ear plugs is immune. But the writers don't seem to read their own work.
When Green Arrow tells his origin story, he mentions the first couple of days on the remote island were bad. It must have been really bad. He went from clean shaven to having a full beard and mustache in a couple of days. The beard and mustache were perfectly trimmed. He must have been pretty good with a sharp stone.
Green Arrow describes getting back to civilization. When he returned from seclusion on the Island, Vertigo was gone and kids were getting sick in Gotham. That means Green Arrow went directly from the island to this episode. But he was already introduced as part of the Justice League. When did he develop his costume, special arrows, and establish himself as a crime fighter if he went right from the island to this episode? The worst part is the villain uses his super weapon, the key to his plan to dominate the world (by making everyone dizzy), as a bowling ball to divert Batman. At that point, Vertigo had no way to dominate the world.
Maybe the X-Men kid who could make people throw up would be a better arch enemy for Vertigo.
Lame bad guy plus lame origin story plus lame writing makes this episode lame.
