So I adored the book, thought it was a very good time. I'll likely reread it too. This series has been mostly pretty accurate, with some changes that didn't harm the original source material too much, and some changes that I may even prefer here.

But either way, I loved this episode. I didn't mention this in my other reviews, but I love Teddy and I'm glad he's such a pivotal character to this story. I always felt like he was shied away from pretty often in the book because (book spoilers ahead...) he was already dead and couldn't be gathered for the interviews. But he's such a good character here now.

The finale for this show was great, but this episode was also very good! It's the perfect lead-up to the rather explosive, chaotic finale. I will say I think I do prefer Camilla in the book to this Camilla, but at the same time... the actress is excellent and I still found myself in awe of her character here.

I must again say that the complicated relationship between Daisy and Billy was handled really, really well in this series, this episode especially. I think the changes they made here to lead in to the finale that's a bit different from the book are still fine despite not being exactly the same.

An excellent episode.

Peaks and Valleys

In the ninth episode of Daisy Jones and the Six, we witness a rollercoaster of emotions as the characters face their highs and lows. This episode offers a poignant glimpse into Daisy's journey as she confronts her inner demons and battles her addictions following her overdose. It's a moving moment that reveals a more serene, gentle, and observant side of her character.

On the other hand, we see Karen grappling with an unexpected pregnancy, realizing that having this child would mean giving up everything she holds dear. Eddie's frustration with Billy reaches its boiling point as he feels sidelined and overshadowed by Daisy and Billy's star power. Finally, the true love story between Daisy and Billy implodes before a desperate Camila, who has done everything in her power to save her marriage, but can't seem to erase Daisy from Billy's heart.

This episode is packed with twists and turns, delivering a wealth of emotions and serving as a pivotal transition towards the series finale. It leaves viewers eagerly anticipating the culmination of the story, making for an exciting and emotionally charged episode.
