Hands Down, The Saddest Episode of the Series
carologletree6 June 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I honestly feel that Season 6 was by far the weakest season of "Codename: Kids Next Door." There were plenty of good episodes, but a fair amount of mediocre ones as well. That being said, I won't deny that one of the very best episodes came from Season 6. This was a pretty controversial episode. Let's dive in, shall we?

Lizzie's sister is getting married, but Nigel wasn't able to make it because he had to stop Stickybeard from obtaining the Sweater of Sweetness. Lizzie is sick of the Kids Next Door always keeping "Nigie" away from her. Just as Nigel makes it to the reception, he has to get with Numbuh 362 to try to find Numbuh 65.3 to get answers about the "Splinter Cell." Lizzie then believes that "Nigie" may have a new love, which she doesn't take too kindly to.

This is by far the most emotion-packed episode of the series. It brilliantly portrays what it is like for those who have stressful and time-consuming jobs who don't have much time for their loved ones.

The action scenes are fantastic. The chase scene against Stickybeard and his crew downtown was very exciting, and the climax with Nigel and Lizzie running from the "Treehouse" (which developed a mind of its own and confesses its love for Numbuh 1) has the stakes at its highest.

The scene at the end where Lizzie breaks up with Nigel for good was heart-breaking. You really feel for Nigel, and the sad music played during that scene made it that much more effective. Also, this episode makes it pretty obvious that Rachel has the hots for Nigel (too bad it was never explored).

It doesn't really take away from the episode, but I felt bad for everything that happened to Lizzie's sister.

This is easily the saddest episode of the entire series as well as one of the most effective. This is a must-watch for all KND fans.
