Some silly person decided to give the villain a Glock... and then have him cock the nonexistent hammer back at least three different times for effect.
1. There are no hammers on Glocks
2. The villain didn't need to cock it multiple times and is not heard lowering the hammer even once, making it even more redundant
3. The character does not move his fingers or even have them at the back of the pistol to match the sfx-- is there some other character off camera with a revolver?

A bit different for the series, this segment has Magnum teaming up with TC to go undercover in a whodunit case, rather than relying on Higgins. She still figures prominently in a subplot about her character, but of course it's nice to see TC directly involved in the main action -plus having them both dressed up in business suits as "efficiency experts" disguises is a fun in-joke for a show built around casual dress in the Hawaiian setting.
A clever plot device has the boys aided in the investigation by a prime suspect, who turns out to have been an adversary of Magnum's in a previous "cheating husband" assignment and becomes their man on the inside actually helping out.
For regular fans, the format might disappoint due to far less action footage than normal, and most of the scenes staged indoors, not showing off the luscious Hawaiian backdrop.
