When you share your opinions about Armie Hammer publicly, you better be prepared to have Armie Hammer fire back. The actor made headlines in September when he roasted James Woods on Twitter after Woods commented negatively about the relationship in “Call Me By Your Name,” in which Hammer plays a 24-year-old who falls in love with a 17-year-old (Timothée Chalamet). Now Hammer has slammed Buzzfeed following an anti-Armie Hammer article published November 26.

When “Call Me by Your Name” screened at the New York Film Festival last month, several threads from Timothée Chalamet’s 21-year-old life wove together. Above the sold-out, 1,100-seat audience at Alice Tully Hall, he watched the second half from the balcony, seated next to the actor who plays his lover, Armie Hammer, and their director, Luca Guadagnino. Onscreen, Chalamet’s character was 17, the same age he was when Guadagnino met him. At that time, Chalamet was a student at Fiorello H. Laguardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts — the Upper West Side inspiration for “Fame” — across the street.

Warning: This story contains spoilers for the movie “Get Out.”
When “Get Out” premiered in a secret midnight slot at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival, nobody could have predicted it would become a cultural phenomenon. The $4.5 million Blumhouse production was billed as a satiric horror movie about race, directed by former “Key & Peele” sketch comedian Jordan Peele in his feature-length debut, and a cursory reading of those details suggested a wacky spoof of the “Scary Movie” variety.
Instead, Peele had made a genre-defying look at race relations in America, merging the interracial dynamics of “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?” with an outrageous B-movie premise worthy of George Romero. That premise — which finds wealthy white liberals using hypnosis and brain surgery to turn black people into their slaves — skewered the notion of a post-racial America from multiple directions at once, setting aside more obvious targets to unearth some of the worst...

No need to ask Italian director Luca Guadagnino where he stands on the seemingly ever-raging film versus digital debate again, as the “Call Me By Your Name” helmer has made himself quite clear in a new interview with Screen Daily. Guadagnino, it seems, is an avowed celluloid man, and he’s not too pleased with fellow filmmakers buy into the “ideology of digital” at the expense of their craft.
Even with a relatively slim budget of $3.5 million, the filmmaker still shot his lauded new romance entirely on 35mm celluloid film, and he doesn’t see why other filmmakers wouldn’t opt for the same route. “I think it’s laziness,” he said of shooting on digital. “It’s an ideological lie of the industry to say ‘don’t shoot on film because it’s less expensive to shoot on digital.'”

Richard Linklater’s “Before” trilogy is famous for checking in on the relationship between Jesse and Celine (Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy) every 9 years, and Elio and Oliver from “Call Me By Your Name” will operate similarly on the big screen if Luca Guadagnino has his way. ScreenDaily reports that the Italian filmmaker is planning a sequel to his Sundance darling in which the movie will pick up with the characters three years later. Similar to the “Before” trilogy, actors Timothée Chalamet and Armie Hammer will match the ages of their characters.
“I want to do a sequel because Timothée Chalamet, Armie Hammer, Michael Stuhlbarg, Amira Casar, Esther Garrel – they are all gems,” Guadagnino said during the BFI London Film Festival. “The texture we built together is very consistent. We created a place in which you believe in the world before them. They are young but they are growing up.

An actual comedian hosting “Saturday Night Live”? That’s a concept as simple as… Well, as simple as an actual comedian hosting “Saturday Night Live.” While there’s definitely nothing wrong with actors, musicians, etc. hosting the show, there’s typically a better chance for a comedian’s creative voice to come through in a show that’s known for often having a static voice. So it’s no surprise “The Big Sick”/”Silicon Valley”/”Burning Love”/plenty of funny things star Kumail Nanjiani and his voice make the perfect choice for “Saturday Night Live” host.
Of course, you can’t expect any host — comedian or not — to singlehandedly change the structure of the show. Especially when the season is already off to a wobbly start.

It was only a matter of time. Sony Pictures Classics celebrated National Coming Out Day by releasing a new clip from Luca Guadagnino’s “Call Me By Your Name” that may or may not be your favorite 43 seconds at the movies this year. The scene, titled Dance Party, finds Armie Hammer’s character letting lose on the dance floor of an Italian outdoor club. Calling Hammer’s dance moves lovably goofy would be an understatement.

Noah Baumbach might as well have named his latest feature “The (Harold) Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected, But Also Mostly About Harold),” because no matter how many stories unspool in the filmmaker’s latest tale of familial disaffection (and, occasionally, actual affection), each one spins firmly around Dustin Hoffman’s surly patriarch.
While Baumbach’s “The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected)” is cleverly divided up into a series of chapters, mostly following the middle-aged mishegoss of Harold’s sons Danny (Adam Sandler) and Matthew (Ben Stiller), it is Harold who looms largest.
The Gruff Patriarch
That he’s basically a bastard — or, to put it more kindly, definitely not a great dad — would be an easy out in any other film, a way to explain why the Meyerowitz kids are so screwy and sad. But Hoffman brings life and levity to Harold that pushes his performance into potential awards territory.

Love magazine’s annual month of risqué shorts tend to follow a certain pattern. It typically starts with their usual bevy of It Girl models clad in an assortment of barely there underpinnings, gyrating their physical assets while the camera slow pans around their body, with the magazine occasionally tacking on a theme to make the whole thing feel vaguely in the holiday spirit. And clearly, the publication has found the formula for success garnering almost 20 million views on its YouTube channel over the past 8 days alone. But this season, they’ve also broken with that tradition ever so slightly,...

Episode 1 of "All-Star Celebrity Apprentice" is ominously titled, "The Wolf in Charge of the Hen House." The show opens in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, as the returning best of the best -- and worst of the worst -- "Celebrity Apprentice" contestants join Donald Trump to be split into teams.
Trump puts one-time winner Bret Michaels and previous second-place contestant Trace Adkins in charge as team leaders. Donald takes the opportunity to criticize Brett for coming back, and exposing himself to the chance at going home a loser after his first win. Unfazed, Bret takes turns with Trace drafting their teammates. Bret chooses Omarosa Manigault first, determined to harness her negative energy for good. The guys leave Dennis Rodman as the last player picked. (Something tells us that never happened to Rodman in gym class.)
The contestants move to suites at Trump Tower, and convene to choose team names. Omarosa...

Honestly, if I was forced to judge Summer 2012 at first glance, I would say it was pretty weak. Compared to 2011 and 2010, there's just not as many movies to look forward to. While it seems easy to write off this Summer as a dud, I have three reasons why it might actually be awesome; The Dark Knight Rises, The Avengers, and Prometheus. Honestly, that's all Summer 2012 needs in order to be one for the history books. Even then, there's still more than enough films to warrant your attention this summer. To help you sort through them all, we've once again compiled all the most interesting films of the season into four easy to read, informative guides. For the next four days, we'll take you on a journey through the best cinema has to offer in Summer 2012. Welcome to our Summer 2012 Movie Guide! Today, we will focus on June 2012, one of the biggest months of the year.

When I was a wee lad, I had a VHS copy of Gene Wilder's Woman in Red, which contained a scene that involved Kelly LeBrock jumping out of bed and quickly wrapping in a towel. However, if you knew how to master the pause button, you could catch the briefest glimpse of Kelly LeBrock's pink triangle before God covered it in that towel. Asshole.
I wore out the pause button on my remote watching that. Goddamn VCRs; I could never capture it fully without those Vcr lines invading the screen.
Kids these days, unfortunately, don't have Kelly LeBrock's lady parts to ogle. They're stuck with Jennifer Lopez's ass, which sadly takes the second spot in this list of the ten most paused movie moments. The fellas over at Slashfilm dug this up from The Geek Files at Coventry which picked it up for the original source LOVEFiLM.

Kellan, in the meantime, appeared in a dark blue suit matched with a white fancy shirt. Although not taking off his clothes, Kellan has also graced the organization's ad campaign, called "Adopt, Don't Buy", along with his rescued mutt named Kola.
Sophia Bush, Anjelica Huston and Abbie Cornish all opted one-shoulder dresses for the event. While Sophia donned a cream-colored dress, Anjelica and Abbie preferred pink and dark green respectively for the event.

HollywoodNews.com: While Alec Baldwin was out supporting PETA at their 30th anniversary gala, he voiced his opinion about which stars should be featured in the “I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur” ads.
Baldwin named ‘Gossip Girl’ actress Blake Lively as someone who would be good for the ads because she’s one of “the ones who have all the influence,” states E! News. He believes that not only is she gorgeous and “very stylish,” she also is a role model for many young people.
Baldwin went on to comment that there are some young stars who are “in and out of rehab” and haven’t tried to take on the role of being positive role models.
Wonder who he could be talking about.

Ah, nude scenes. With the fall movie season upon us, the major studios are whipping out their arthouse and Oscar-bait films. While most of these films come through with the pretense of dignity, only a few are remembered years after their passing. So, in a time when our theaters will be swelling with honest, clean films that show us the triumphs of the human spirit or criticize the trappings of modern society, it seems only proper that we respond by seeking out moments in film that stand in opposition to this. Moments in film, where we are all pleasantly surprised with well placed nudity. As much as Oscar-bait tries to make a social impact, many times it is the moments in film where a penis or a pair of breasts burst through the curtain that stains our collective memory, and we respond with an enthusiastic “Hell yes!” These are the...
