The storyline of this movie is just amazing and the acting is just superb. The concept of this movie is really much inspiring us a lot. Overall very good movie with an amazing story and acting.

This is one of the best family movie I have watched in recent times... One of the heart touching movies of 2021 while Hindi films this year were good but,, this film was just fantastic.. Comedy,, emotions & every feeling were present & the film was much relatable...... Beautiful story,,, excellent script writing,, fantastic song..... Great actimg of all the actor & actress everything was perfect..... This film again showed that Bengali film no place lesser than other films..... rather this film is really a tonic 'an energy booster' for all ages,, all person,, it's also inspirising,, full of comedy & emotions, every feeling was present in this film... It's really an unique film... No panic only tonic.

Many people may not be aware of the fact that Avijit Sen, the director of Tonic belongs to a well-known "Soap Opera" background. He has directed a myriad of 'Serials' for the past few years, the same can be observed in the way he dealt with this tale. Melodrama, gullible sentiments and plenty of over the top moments; it's got everything a vast portion of the Bengali audience had wished for.
Not only that, the casting has been pretty spot on too. While Dev being the primary figure was decent enough in the avatar of Tonic, Paran Bandopadhyay on the other hand has been the irrefutable show-stealer. This odd but effective pairing did bear the fruits, and humour plays a crucial role in that respect. The dialogues and the comedy may not be clever enough for the seasoned spectators, however, for the mass populace, it could be an absolute laughter ride.
Now the story had naive intentions, all it wanted is to spread positivity and warmth during these difficult times and I do acknowledge their ethical efforts. Yet, I have to say, with a heavy heart, the ultimate payoff isn't really there! Every story needs a proper beginning as well as a strong closure, any weaknesses in either of these two would result in an incomplete output, and I'm afraid, that is exactly what had transpired over here. Without giving away any SPOILERS, all I can say is that I just cannot wrap my head around its denouement, that's not how I imagined it to be.

This is called good bengali film. Me and my friend went to watch the film . Some portion is Funny , some is emotional , some is adventurous . Best family package for winter . You can go for see this film After watching this film you will realise ,your money didn't go in vain . Trust me in the middle of this film seriously I cried what a acting dev and Paran Bandopadhyay . Yes lot of words I can say for this film but now I'm going to see this film again but this time I'm with my whole family🔥

Very nice movie. Where remade ideas are running in many cases across Tollywood and Bollywood. The movie made with such a beautiful idea at that time is really great. Maybe there is no moment like standing up and playing the whistle but there are many moments throughout the whole picture when everyone will be forced to laugh and bring tears to their eyes ... In a word, it is a picture to make the mind better ...

One of the most heart touching movies of 2021 while Hindi films this year were good but ,this film was just fantastic . It gives us the confidence to see all kinds of films as "Indian films " and not Hindi Bengali or Tamil Telugu Malayalam or Punjabi Marathi . A very amazing theatre experience after years. And paran bandopadhyay such a gem <3 he steals the show and the woman who played his wife was great,and dev was nice as well . Paran bandopadhyay deserves a national award this year .

This movie has literally shaken me. Not only the acting of the actors but also the cinematography was simply brilliant. Also the flim conveys a message for our MODERN society. Overall a film worth watching. Anticipating more Bengali films like 'Tonic'.

Many including me thought this film would be similar to any Nandita-Shiboprasad film considering the story revolves around an old couple and their issues in life. Well, it's not!
TONIC is actually a much more entertaining and humorous version of a Shiboprasad film. As young kids, adults often have too much authority on us at times not able to understand that we too need some freedom but can't get it as parents fear something bad could happen. Exactly the same happen when we as grown ups take care of our old parents. We fear to let them do anything fancy as it may cause trouble to their health but then often our old parents would also like to do something fancy in their old age hence the conflict arises. Paran da's character story is exactly this. An old parent who wants grand celebrations of his anniversary, do something fancy but his over-caring children won't let that happen. Hence comes in their life secretly a man named Tonic played by Dev who helps the old parents enjoy the fullest with fancy activities to make their anniversary special.
Just the chemistry and dialogues between Dev and Paran is so entertaining that it makes the film more electrifying . What I love about Bengali films more than Bollywood films is, they try to make use of daily day to day life humorous conversations between common Bengalis as their dialogues in film with little bit of innovation to give it an extra humorous touch and it works 100% perfectly. Audience are able to connect themselves when they hear such dialogues. This is why the film scores extra brownie points .
Absolutely no vulgarity, no nudity full family package for you, your parents grandparents to sit in front of TV (will come to Zee Bangla soon) on a Sunday and have a wholesome family entertainment. Although I would say this film is not as deep like Shiboprasad films, it is made during a perfect time, the pandemic when audience needs positivity and this film is the one for you!!!

One of the two movies of dev, which are worth watching. The other being sanjhbati. This moviw falls into my little biasness as a large part of this film was shot in my neighbourhood areas of Santoshpur & Survey Park. Inspite of having a simple storyline, the film centers around the emotional attachment between the parents & their children.

It is a massive film. I really enjoyed the film when I saw this. Tonic and Kaka characters were too good. They filled up to each other. Tonic is a man who realised the problem of the old man and woman who didn't expressed their wishes. I spacially will give thanks to the director of the film and the story writer of the film. I have really stunned by the Paran Sir's acting. There had most difficult stun and he has done them bravely. I respect his bravery. Atleast I say that this movie will bring a change of every person's thaught.

The storyline will just spread hatred & misunderstanding between two generations of family members. Acting of all artists is over the top. Cinematography is good. But only some videos of natural beauty is not called a good movie. The emotional scenes doesn't touches our soul. Some scenes remind us about Star Jalsa's Bengali serials which. I think in recent time this is the most overhyped bengali movie. Some people remarks it as masterpiece but I am confused about their conception of masterpiece. This film will not take place in the all time great bengali movies. Nachiketa's song is ear soothing.
