Another good show.

This actually was a nice show as we quickly approach the end of season three. The story involved a young computer-wiz Ensign named Kwazniak (Marvin Kaplan) that has been specially sent to Taratupa to rig one of the PT boat for remote control. And you can guess that Binghamton is going to pick the 73 in hopes that the crew will no longer be needed and transferred somewhere else in the Pacific. Binghamton tells McHale that the boat is being wired with new equipment but does tell him that it has anything to do with him losing command of the boat. It is only later that McHale learns the truth after becoming friend with the shy Kwazniak.

The only hope for McHale and his crew is if they can jam the radio frequency on the day of the test. If they can show the visiting Admiral that the boat is uncontrollable then they can save their positions. Willy has a friend that will let him in the radio room so that he can jam the controls. But when Willy is unable to get to the radio it looks hopeless for the crew of the 73. That is unless something happens.

The episode was enjoyable enough and the acting fantastic. This show seemed fresh as the story was new to the series which opened many doors for the writers. It was an entertaining show that was interesting from beginning to end. Good watch.
