We made it folks ! The end of an era.
A total snowstorm of emotions with Kim and Jimmy. All these theories, and we get a clean break. After being teased in Wexler v. Goodman, Kim walks away and reveals to Jimmy she knew about Lalo.
This episode felt like closure for many of the characters. Gus reached the exact spot he was in BB, as he gets control of the North, under Bolsa's supervision, while Hector gets the south. Mike talks to Nacho's father. HHM is rebranding and changing its name.
It's the end of an era. The whole show lead to this moment. The transition right after the break up was sensational. It's like the episode became bigger than itself and skipped forward. It was a shock to be sure. An absolute shake up like last episode, but in a different way.
It's the story of Wine and Roses, where a couple gets into vices and influence comes in. The spiral happens and problems come into play. Maybe that was the point of Gus' scene with the wine ? I don't know. Maybe the only scene I didn't quite understand here.
Overall, the episode is sad, sweet, full of future nostalgia. Saul is here. It's showtime. Rhea Seehorn is exceptional. That whole speech, and I still feel it. Wow.
You could say it feels a little rushed, but at the same time, it happens like that in a whirlwind. You don't have time to process.
