That the U.$. has one of the WORST neo-natal records in the World (meaning that the infant mortality rate here is higher than in almost any other country in the world) should be cause for great concern; that this nation lacks such moral commitment speaks volumes. We let people in dire need of medical assistance DIE in the Emergency Room waiting area, so the infant mortality rate shouldn't surprise us (and, if you're diagnosed with Cancer- the way my wife was- you'll literally be shown the door if your insurance doesn't cover the cost of treatment). When it comes to the Industrial Health Complex, as one expert points out, "MBAs instead of MDs are in charge of a system that was never designed to meet healthcare needs." It is "designed to meet the needs of those in power." I could go on (and on and on)... but I'm not feeling too well just now...
