It was a fine addition
AnimatedCritic29 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
H'm feeling a little more refreshed, moving on from last weeks episode, and I'm surprised how decent this episode came out. At some points, the episode was bland, and a little stale. The animation is good, but it feels like we seen it thousands of time before. The story is what makes this episode way better then the last one. It had Grandpa accused of a crime, and Kent decides to do a podcast about it. It, was fun seeing how the story moved forwards knowing if Grandpa was really guilty, and at one point, he was convinced he was guilty. It was also nice seeing Grandpa getting back into his love life. This episode can get a little stale, but the story makes up for it, and the last episode, kind of.ow much tall tales or fantasy episodes are we going to have?! We already have I, Carumbus, Now Museum, Now You Don't, and Treehouse of Horror XXXI. That's 3 out of 6 episodes released so far! Anyways, time to be back to this tall tale episode.

This episode is actually ok. Lisa's story was a little boring, and some of the stuff in this episode was a little stale, but it was a fine ride. Comic Book Guy's story was fine. It wss fun to see all the superhero references. There were funny jokes. Bart's story was ok. It was nice to see him as a voice over actor, but it was a little boring. Lisa's story was mediocore. It was fun to see her have a rival, and that she was set up for failure. The endings of each story felt a little rushed, but that's fine. Overall, this is a fine addition to Season 32.

Pretty Solid Episode
tylermerrigan23 November 2020
I think that this was a solid episode. My favorite Storyline was Comic book guy at Comic-Con. I loved the Paul Rudd Cameo and the Dinner for Schmucks joke (And I definitely agree with Comic book guy on that one!). My second favorite storyline was the one where Bart became a voice over actor. I loved the references their and I thought it was funny because Bart didn't know that he was voicing a girl! Then my least favorite segment was with Lisa and Blake. That one was interesting but a little bit confusing. Overall, I think that this was a good simpsons episode. I think that it was a great episode for this era of the simpsons and this show will be running forever if they can keep making episodes like this!

Lots of fun and semi-hidden references
rumatom23 November 2020
Really nice episode, lots of hidden gems (pause the episode in the beginning of the convention) and references with double meaning (like Bart voice acting as a girl..) and much more. I was really pleasantly surprised, keep it up! :)

Sublime
safenoe13 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I've been a bit harsh on the 2020 episodes of The Simpsons (full confession, I really think the golden era of The Simpsons was the first 10 seasons with some honorary mentions later on). Anyway, this 2020 deserve to rank alongside the golden era because it's quite moving and sublime. The Lisa sub-plot was quite moving, where her self-worth as a jazz performer was questioned due to a devious musician challenging her to the first chair.

The Bart one was very, very meta. With Bart being mocked by Jimbo, Dolph and Kearney because he voiced a female character, which is ironic because of course Bart is voiced by a female character.

The Comic Book Guy had potential but kind of lost it towards the end.

Not a very good episode
burteriksson19 June 2021
Where is the uproar and outcry? Why aren't Hanz Azaria & Co. Condemning this sort of activity? I'm talking about Kevin Michael Richardson - a black person - doing the voice for a white character in this episode.

Not much to say about this one in a positive manner. A weird episode with a weird political agenda that is just artificially slapped on top of everything. Watching this through even once is an achievement.
