Warning: Spoilers
This show really excels at working class problems and Dan arguing over his role at the store exactly sums up how so many people in this country feel, but are rarely represented on TV.

This show is really getting bogged down by Ben/Darlene stories

Warning: Spoilers
And I realize that's kind of a throw back to the original series when I felt like Darlene and David stories were dragging things down. Only saving point for that is you had other storylines that were stronger than that storyline. Anyway, It's just that I like David They could have Darlene and Ben break up for good and I wouldn't miss him. I hate they're doing David's character so dirty. I realize the actor only wants to make a few guest appearances here and there. Just felt it would've been better to have David and Darlene be divorced, have the kids be off screen for episodes and say they're hanging out with David.

Gave the episode 3 stars because of Becky's storyline in this episode. Thought Lecy did an excellent job trying not to breakdown because of all of the lies spewing from her mouth and how a lot of it absolutely doesn't match her real life. I just like the tone of the acting while a lot of times it seems like Becky's lines are delivered over the top with Lecy bulging her eyes out. It doesn't seem natural for the character or the actress imo. So it was nice seeing a change of pace from that.

Felt they dropped the ball with the casting of an 'old friend'. I realize you can have a lot take place off screen but it would've been nice to see somebody that was actually on the show. And this is me throwing out character names without knowing if these actors/actresses still act. Maybe the old friend could've been Chip or Dana. Or if you're really going off the wall, what about Dean?

I had/have no desire to stay in touch with anybody I went to school with so I'm not sure how many stayed around here versus getting out of this town the second they graduated or dropped out. I kinda picture my town as being like Lanford and there were more getting out because there's more chances in other places than in your little hometown. Chip, Dana and Dean would probably fit the category of not really staying in touch with Becky, not really hearing a connection about Becky Conner being a trainwreck during those years of her life.

It also seemed strange to me that Mark wasn't brought up? When Becky and Mark started hanging out, it seemed like Becky dropped all of her other friends. And I'm sure it had to have been a big to do when your classmate is getting married as a teenager. There was a lot of things Becky's friend didn't know. He made some comment about 'your parents must be proud of you' and you didn't have Becky make some comment about her mom passing away. So yeah, I could see a question coming up about "Are you still with Mark Healy?"

I'm looking forward to a future storyline that has the return of Molly. I do like the throwbacks to the original "Roseanne". Still wish that Anne Marie, Nancy, Crystal and Bonnie would show up. It'd give Jackie more to do outside of her boyfriend storyline that also brings the show down.

Hope a future episode is dedicated towards a missing persons report being filed on Bev and DJ. I thought Bev was living with Jackie? Jackie never seems to go home? Is Bev still alive by this point? I realize Estelle Parsons is up there in age and she probably has no desire to be in half the episodes of the season. Just would be nice to at least see Bev or at least have Jackie mentioning her. DJ at least gets a passing mention in this episode but it would be nice to see more storylines involving his life. They truly need to get stronger storylines to overshadow the weaker storylines.

Darlene gets worse with every episode

I like the show and the characters but I find that I get more and more annoyed with Darlene each episode. She's pretty self centered and a little too bossy.
