This episode does a clever thing of wrapping up its 10th series and setting up its Christmas Special all in one go.

This again is lovely stuff, with all the plots working. It was nice to see the Trixie/Matthew Aylward storyline run through the whole series too. Who knows where that might lead...

Yes, I always find it odd that Jenny is still narrating when she's been gone for donkey's years, but what cannot be denied is that this show remains one of the jewels in the BBC's crown.

Looking forward to the Christmas Special. The wedding will be lovely. But it will be hard to top Barbara and Toms Christmas wedding. I'm glad that Sister Julienne can put her energy towards caring for the mothers and stop worrying about Nonatus House.

A good ending to season ten with many sweet moments and left tendrils to be picked up in the next season. The characters were well acted and the storylines well developed.
