JoJo Siwa’s “Bounce,” which had Will Smith as a producer, has been bounced off Paramount’s development slate, TheWrap has learned.
The project, which would have marked the YouTuber and “Dancing with the Stars” contestant’s big-screen feature debut, fell apart months ago and is unrelated to Smith slapping presenter Chris Rock during the Oscars ceremony last month.
Last year, Siwa came out as part of the LGBTQ community to her millions of followers via social media, which she said was a move encouraged by her girlfriend.
Siwa was named one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in 2020 and competed on “Dancing With the Stars” last year, making history as the first contestant to dance with a same-sex partner. She also served as creative director and executive producer of the E! reality competition series “Siwa’s Dance Pop Revolution.”

Since launching her YouTube channel in 2009, Claudia Sulewski has taken the digital world by storm.
At 18, the then-beauty vlogger was named the host of Teen Vogue’s official YouTube channel in 2015. Since then, she’s transitioned into acting.
Sulewski recently landed her biggest acting role to date, playing Becca in writer-director James Morosini’s “I Love My Dad,” starring Patton Oswalt and Lil Rel Howery. Oswalt’s character impersonates Becca online in order to get the details of his depressed, isolated son’s life. Things begin to spiral when his son (played by Morosini) falls for Becca and wants to meet in person. The film is set to premiere next year.

Quick question: is it weird to frame photos of people you've never met but secretly adore? 'Cause I'm feeling highly inclined to do so after seeing footage of JoJo Siwa and Kylie Prew's red carpet debut. The couple made their first public appearance together at the premiere of JoJo's new film, The J Team, on Friday, and they radiated pure joy the entire time. While posing for the cameras, the duo put their love on full display, sharing a few sweet smooches and smiling from ear to ear. JoJo wore a multicolored jumpsuit and one of her signature hair bows, while Kylie supported her girlfriend's movie in a blue J Team hoodie and matching sparkly hair tinsel.
Earlier this year while coming out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, JoJo told fans in an Instagram Live, "I'm the happiest I've ever been; that's what matters." Shortly after, she...

JoJo Siwa’s brand has always been happiness.
She first burst onto the scene as the daughter of one of Lifetime’s titular “Dance Moms,” where she became known not just for her dance moves, but for the way she accessorized. Siwa wore bright, sparkly bows in her hair at all times, to some of the moms’ dismay — or perhaps it was just her perpetual grin that irked them.
Siwa is now 18, but the signature bows haven’t gone anywhere, and neither has her positive attitude. Both are essential to the plot of “The J Team,” the new Paramount Plus film that she executive produces and stars in as herself.
