We know that we do affects our future - also what we don't do. Can we be aware of the consequences though? And would someone have to explain to us that if we went back in time, we actually only did so to become what we are ... and when exactly were we ... we? Or are we we? What is the now? Time has always been a fragile construct in movies.
The movie does raise some questions and answers some too. Not sure if it will be to your satisfaction or not. But it is a decent Science Fiction/genre effort. Hope the makers continue to do their thing and maybe find something even a bit more engaging - with the right financial support I am certain it will be good.
