Tammy's Uncle Cully (Shug Fisher) has seen his business end when the sheriff destroys his moonshine still. With Mr. Brent looking for a gardener Tammy gets the job for Cully. Mr. Brent is entering his "Tammy rose" into the flower show against the award-winning roses of Lavinia. Cully is doing a good job as gardener, but running a still in the garden shed with his friend Hank (Dub Taylor). Lavinia mistakes some of the moonshine for insecticide and applies it to her roses, instantly killing the bugs. She buys all of Cully's "rose spray". When the still is discovered by the sheriff, Hank reveals that Lavinia bought all the liquor. Now she'll have to work her way from the wrong side of the law.
