The Hosts want to be the Show
Malpaso1328 August 2021
It's a nice concept, the judges and contestants are fine...but the two hosts ham it up a little too much. The show is not about you, it's about the game and the contestants.

Rough!
s-0914314 October 2021
I always wondered what it would be like to watch kids cook without ANY help from the producers or chefs; well, this is it! No Master Chef Junior kids somehow knowing how to make every food in the world ever created in 45 minutes. This is just plain old kids terrible at baking and we actually get to watch.

Nothing looks remotely edible and the mid show "dance breaks" could be the most awkward thing I have ever seen on tv.

Enjoy!

Really great and real

Some reviews here have stated that the kids are getting fed lines and I know that to be false. These are real kids doing real bakes and they deserve to be there. The cakes look amazing and the show is very colorful. I fully recomend this show!

It's alright

I love watching baking/cooking shows, but honestly this was nowhere near KBC or Master Chef Junior level.

The dance breaks give me second hand embarrassment. The judges and hosts were quite annoying, I know the hosts are pretty young but they seem to be trying so hard to be funny/relate to the kids by using teen slang. It just comes off as cringey, but maybe 10 year olds will find it funny idk. On other kids baking shows, the judges are honestly and give great feedback to the kids on their baking or techniques. However the judges on the show just seemed to sugar coat everything and didn't give any critical feedback, just told them how amazing and perfect they did.

The "video challenges" title is kinda misleading because I assumed the kids had to create a video mid competition but they just make a bonus item to add to their cake. If you watch it on Disney+, EVERY commercial break, they state the show is a "general audience program" It's extremely repetitive and the ladies voice gets annoying after awhile.

Wholesome, kids of this generation are so sweet!

All these reviews bashing this show are obviously watching from an adult lens rather than a children's one. This show was not created for adults and most of these reviews give off big incel vibes.

This show is incredibly sweet and refreshing. Rather than a stressful fine dining culinary perspective, we get a friendlier home baker aspect where fun and passion are at the front. This show's message is important for kids to keep baking and practicing because it's FUN and to not let competition slow down their progress. The teams are strong, the messages of friendship these kids tell make me tear up, and honestly as a professional baker myself these kids have incredible baking skills and techniques I've never even tried. Each episode varies with incredibly professional looking cakes to some teams having a messier look to them. The messier ones are so cute, like your child made you a macaroni and glitter necklace you want to wear every day. Sure the judges are cringey, but it's Disney Channel and you have to remember the kids on the show look up to these young actors (it's for them not for YOU).

Watch this show as a family if you love to see children have fun and tackle challenges, or alone if you need a dose of sweetness from kids as young as 9 creating cakes with their best friends!

Very cringe

I imagine they just pull these kids from out of the line at Disneyland. Nothing against the kids but they're not actually bakers. That's not the worst part. What's up with the host that knows absolutely nothing about baking and is extremely obnoxious?
