A sloppy adaptation of an interesting manga

The animation of this is honestly quite disrespectful to the source material, with the confusing censorship and unbalanced pacing even cutting some of the main plot in order to catch up with the manga, all it does is make anyone who wants to get into this anime become dejected by it. I don't know if they were trying to capture the feel of the manga by showing a color diarrhea in every 30 second intrrval of the show (i am not kidding not even exaggerating) but it doesn't work when it leaves the viewer out of the story by showing absolutely nothing and narrating vague Shakespearean-esk monologue over it. It definitely works a lot better in the manga which i had to resort to after the anime left me in confusion. But this part is entirely my opinion and someone with a more generous appreciation of seizures would absolutely love this anime adaptation.

Although this review moght seem harsh, honestly i am very grateful to the existence of this anime. Since it not only introduced me to a great manga but also is a sentiment to the fact that the conservative anime industries actually do somewhat care for more diverse and new ideas. Speaking of which the manga is a definite recommendation if you like new ideas that change the perspective and meaning of a more or less already established story. Its story is by no means a masterpeace and has many shortcomings in the logic department and also pacing. At many points it is absolutely ridiculous and in some moments it shines brighter and goes beyond any story i have ever witnessed.

Loved the anime, I can see a lot of people dropping this anime because manga is more detailed and good, but someone who likes animation this anime is perfect, just some parts are missing from manga, but even though the story and visuals was great.

You can read manga as well after watching the anime.

Loved it!

masterpiece

Definitely, this anime is one of the most outstanding animes and a masterpiece It has a very strong and painful subject One of the important characteristics of this anime is the changes made in the characters of Shakespeare's book In Shakespeare's book, Richard III was shown as a hateful and evil person, which may have been due to political issues.

In this anime, he has a new look at Richard III, which multiplies the beauty of this anime Thanks to the creators of this anime It was very moving and emotional and also sad I felt depressed after watching this anime I recommend watching the anime to those who can handle it.

Heart wrenching

How anyone could give this anime a low score is unthinkable. There was some difference from the manga, but thats to be expected. Its also set up as very dramatic as it is based on shakespear plays . I actually liked those parts. I have never reacted to any tv movie or anime in such a visceral manner. I went in thinking "hmmm looks kinda interesting ". It literally knocked me on my azz. By the end i was sobbing uncontrollably. Richards whole life was so tragic to me. Im not at all someone that cries in a show/movie and it effected me for weeks afterwards. Very uncharacteristic of myself. His tragic 2nd love is what did it for me. And i am NOT a romance fan. In fact i hate it. This anime was so good , I think its a great gateway for people that don't watch anime to introduce them to.
