When the poster is better than the movie...
hellsing21818 February 2023
Let me start off by saying I love found footage, but this, just no. The plot isn't interesting at all and the bad acting and stilted line delivery doesn't make me care about the main characters at all. I can appreciate the filmmakers making do with a limited budget, but the effects are laughable at best.

Much of the plot is people sitting in a car, which is a petty weak way to pad out the run time. The characters make terrible decisions only for the sake of plot. All of this might have been forgivable, but that ending was just... just terrible. It was a stupid twist that makes no freakin' sense in any way.

In short, there are much better options out there.

I have something to tell you

Warning: Spoilers
Ted (Nathan Owen) had an incident and is afraid of heights making his old pass time of rock climbing out of the question. He lives with his sister Maxine (Leslie Gladney). He plans on proposing to his girlfriend Ginnie. Ginnie and BFF Maxine , who is out of the closet, have a secret Maxine is having a hard time breaking to Ted, but you should have that figured out. They travel to a mountain to climb and Ted has a panic attack about ten feet up. They go back and on the way, Ted films a creature as he films everything for some stupid reason. Ted decides to return and cross the torn danger tape again to see if he can find the creature. His sister goes along with. You can basically fast forward to this point as this is where it picks up.

The adventure is shown as a found footage, i.e. Jeremiah who walks with crutches, found the camera where he hunts. He reluctantly shows the world what is on it. There is a twist, other than Ted finding out his girlfriend and sister Netflix and Chill. The acting was bad and dialogue was goofy especially near the end when the siblings are in the car together. I had to laugh to watch them cry.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

Found Footage Flop
melk081513 December 2023
It's a rare occurrence for me to be left absolutely speechless after watching a found footage horror movie. But this one takes the cake.

The creepy/too close relationship between brother and sister made it almost too awkward to watch. But that aside, the creature was absolutely horrendous. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. I haven't seen special effects this bad in a long time. And I'm not expecting much from a found footage film. But this was just out right cringe.

The story line I actually liked. Even the actors were okay, albeit no Oscars, but still watchable. But that creature, it just obliterates any sliver of hope this movie had. I would stay far away. Don't waste your time.

We Found Something... but what?
tmccull5215 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
"We Found Something"...

... a brother and sister cast who have no charm, chemistry, or charisma whatsoever. The sister, Matt or Maxi-Pad, or whatever her name is, was bearable, but the brother, Ted, was a completely annoying, whiny, unlikeable cretin.

Matt is taking Ted to hike in the mountains to "help him" with Jenny, Ted's girlfriend. Ted, who whines incessantly about everything, is going on this adventure for Jenny, "because she needs a strong man in her life, and he wants to be that man". Yeah, a hike in the woods is going to turn this total wuss into a man's man. Yep. Unh hunh. Fer shure.

While on this cathartic, empowering adventure, Matt and Ted stumble across this mysterious cryptic creature, which invariably leads to one of the Found footage horror movie cliches that I have come to absolutely abhor; the sniveling, sobbing, snot-bubble crying jag into the camera. This shot was allright as performed by Heather Donohoe in "The Blair Witch", but it has since been done to death and back again.

A note to any aspiring film-makers planning a found footage horror movie opus: please, for the love of God, or whatever you may hold holy, please do not script or include the blubbering snot-bubble crying jag lamenation into the camera scene... PLEASE. ENOUGH ALREADY.

Other wonderful choices in this movie would include crude oral sex innuendo and jokes by Ted as he films his sister Matt eating a banana, and Matt zooming in on Ted's crotch. That's what all brothers and sisters do, right? Incestuous phallic humor?

The actress playing Matt had at least some measure of talent and skill. The derpwad playing Ted has virtually none. I spent a good deal of time watching this flop hoping for Ted to die as painfully and savagely as possible.

Worst FF I have ever seen
This is by far the worst I have ever seen, I thought strawberry estate was bad but this one takes the cake. It did give me a good laugh with the guy in the costume 😂 I normally say every movie is worth a watch but I'm not sure I can say that about this one.

There isn't one redeaming quality about this movie. Now I understand how hard it is to get a movie done let alone to be put out there on platforms. I'm seriously have no idea how this even passed Quality control.

And wtf do I need to have this review be so damn long in order for it to actually post.

To the person who made this movie. I'm sorry.

Entertaining
bananaphone-861482 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Two siblings with a rather questionable relationship go climbing together in order for the brother to overcome his fear. They find an odd creature, and end up returning to the site to hunt it down. Adventures and a series of poor decisions ensue, ending in a twist and monolog that, in my opinion, goes on for far too long.

The beginning starts pretty slow, but it starts to pick up as the movie goes on. There are a few lulls and scenes that are dragged out. The quality was not the best, but it goes around to so bad it's good. I was entertained near the whole time. Definitely not the worst movies I've ever seen. Long live russel.

Oh Yes!

Warning: Spoilers
I did it. I watched the whole movie.

Okay. It's about a guy who finds some footage while hunting containing the video recordings of brother and sister Max and Ted.

Both go for a hike in the forest and, find a body and some video footage.

Wow, is this found-found footage or what?

Both Max and Ted are so adorable you wish them dead within the first five minutes, but be patient.

On the found-found footage they see imaged of a sort of man who appears the have a dog fetish or something, however he dresses up like one.

Meanwhile, the person on the found found footage still seems to be alive even though her organs seems a little disarrayed.

Well, I don't want to spoil everything.

If you think you can handle this, watch at own risk.

But remember, if you sit through this, it will make you stronger.

Found footage with a twist
nikonbob-8620528 September 2022
"We Found Something" is a found footage creature feature horror film. @wildeyemovies directed by Jesse Heisel #jesseheisel Where a brother and sister go hiking in the mountains, one has a secret and the other has a fear. While hiking in the woods they stumble upon a creature only to dismiss it,latter in the film temptation sets in and they head back with consequences set in motion and a major twist that you won't see coming.🖤 I honestly really enjoyed this film and the twist towards the end made it that much better. I pre-ordered this off Amazon awhile back and it came yesterday, the cover art and menu is pretty damn awesome. This movie definitely stands out among the found footage films not just because it's creature but because of the twist & ending of film. If you like found footage films this is definitely a film to pick up and enjoy.
