My Honest Critique

Congrats on your film. Big accomplishment making and distributing a indie film.

I like the concept.

I like the chemistry between the characters.

I did like the score.

I liked the very end when the new couple came. Sets this movies up for a sequel.

The acting could've been better. The conversations and some of the performances were "one note". This makes it a little challenging to stay in the story.

There should have been more contrast with the lighting due to the nature of the story.

I thought the execution of this story could've been a little more sinister to give it that eerie feeling.

Don't let the title & description mislead you

I thought this was a time-waster slow burn. It had one interesting character who abruptly popped up out of nowhere, made no sense & was never seen again.

I thought surely the only interesting character would be the focus of the film & they were putting the viewer to sleep for a dramatic wake up shock.

No such luck. The most boring characters I've ever seen just droned on about mundane stuff the entire time. I suspect there was once an interesting story that could have been used, but it was buried and obscured beyond identification. I feel empathy for the person who had that idea & got overruled by the rest of this team. Sorry, man.

Apart from not so original story, the movie is comparable to "The Room". Im sure it will become a classic as much as that one. It just needs time... The scenes where people pretand to speak with clearly miming are priceless! The jump scares are spectacular in their own ways - look at them more than once! And watch the non obvious characters.

The phrase used in a movie "time works different in this house" really applies to the timeline and the action happening. I just hope the guy writing and directing it passed his film school summer project.

Kudo's on making it to Prime! And getting this score to 6.2/10 on here.

slow burn

The movie is a interesting slow burn. If you like that type of film you will enjoy this film.

Sometimes in the film you see things coming, and other times you have an unsuspecting character pop up and leave.

Some characters are interesting while other characters want you to follow them further. The movie is comparable to "The Room". The scenes where people pretend to speak while miming are funny and enjoyable! The jump scares are spectacular in their own ways. The thing I find the most interesting about this film is how the director showcased his characters. Did their own thing and made the film their own unique vision.
