Set your app alert because Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp will be making its way to your App Store this November! Learn more within!
In a recent Nintendo Direct, Nintendo revealed plans to tackle the mobile phone gaming scene with one of their most beloved series, Animal Crossing. The entire 14-minute Direct centered around their latest game in the Animal Crossing series, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, arriving in App Stores in late November.
Pocket Camp will be the same Animal Crossing game you've grown up loving, but it'll have the convenience of being completely free on your mobile device. It's likely that there will still be some "Freemium" options, as are with most mobile games, but there will be plenty of things to do without having to pay a dime.

I’ll get straight to the point: Rogue Trooper Redux is a really deep cut. Based on a British 2000 Ad comic series (the same publisher who brought us Judge Dredd), the source material for Rebellion’s eponymous 2006 PS2-era title has been given the remaster treatment courtesy of UK-based developer Tick Tock. Sure, it may be one of the most obscure comic book adaptations to grace our consoles, yet the more meaningful question is: is it worth playing in 2017? Well, if you’re on the market for a pretty antique “blast from the past” style war shooter, then, this might be exactly what the blue-skinned field medic ordered.
You are the titular Rogue Trooper, a genetically manufactured “Souther” super soldier who has been bred and developed specifically to help quash the looming nazi-esque Nort threat. The nasty Norts have devastated the futuristic “Nu-Earth” with biological and chemical weapons which have...

Before he made the fateful film Fatal Call, St. Louis-based filmmaker Jack Snyder (who’s since moved to La) made a forgotten slasher movie that also has the word ‘Fatal’ in the title (read my interview with Jack Here). Fatal Exam, shot on 16mm film was shot in its entirety in 1985, but due to budget constraints, post-production was not completed until 1990. Fatal Exam tells the tale of a group of university students who are invited by their parapsychology professor to investigate a haunted house for the weekend.

In recent weeks, the various folks that make up Gotham‘s criminal element have been forced to choose sides in a war that may threaten to tear the city asunder, making for the strangest of bedfellows. In fact, that theme will play a vital role in tonight’s episode as the Batman prequel series pays tribute to Nine Inch Nails with “Heroes Rise: Pretty Hate Machine.”

Welcome to PeekTV, your daily look at the best that television has to offer. In each installment, we make three picks for the best shows to watch and…toss in a little extra.
Thursday, May 18 What Happened Last Night?!
(What does this have to do with the history of transportation and warfare? Check out last night’s TV picks.)
“Scandal”
“Tick Tock”/”Transfer of Power,” ABC, 10:00 p.m.
Synopsis: As the clock ticks down to the inauguration of the first female President of the United States, Olivia takes a big risk to ensure Mellie’s safety; In the final days of his presidency, Fitz uses his power to make some unexpected changes.
Why You Should Watch: It’s been a big few weeks for “Scandal,” even outside of what’s been airing. “Dear White People” gave it a spinoff of sorts with “Defamation,” which took on a life of its own.

Politicians, commentators and celebrities alike are reacting with shock and outrage over President Trump‘s sudden firing of FBI Director James Comey on Tuesday evening.
“This is an investigator investigating the White House who was just fired by the White House. This doesn’t happen in the United States”— except in Richard Nixon’s White House during Watergate, said a visibly exasperated CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin.
Former Clinton campaign press secretary Brian Fallon called into CNN to join the chorus of analysts reminding Americans that Comey was in the middle of investigating Trump for collusion with Russia.

10.21 The Separation Agitation
The Big Bang Theory has been in dire need of new blood for some time now. With it getting difficult to remember a time when Bernadette, Amy and Stuart weren’t part of the furniture, there’s been a sense this season that the writers may have run out of things to do with their regular characters. That concern was only exacerbated by the apparently imminent cancellation and subsequent two-season renewal.
Which is my long way of saying that I like Bert, and have so far enjoyed what he’s brought to the series. Comedy-wise, he’s not been...

6.10 Latching
Already the opinions on Girls’ final episode are pouring into the Twitterverse and there seems to be a fair amount of disappointment. Many folks appear to be of the mind that last week’s episode should have been the finale, which I can understand. It featured the entire core female friend group, whereas this one only has Hannah, her mother, and Marnie. Plus, it gave something of a coda to all the girls’ friendships, which felt vaguely uplifting.
But for an episode that culminated in an extended dancing/goofing off montage, I thought it was kind of a downer. I mean, Shoshanna definitively rejected everyone. Sure, Hannah and Jessa made up,...

Beauty & The Beast's Bill Condon may sign on for Universal's Bride Of Frankenstein remake.
Universal is getting their shared cinematic monsterverse underway in June with Tom Cruise and Sofia Boutella in The Mummy. After that, we'll get Johnny Depp in The Invisible Man, and then after that? Well, we're not sure yet, but it's probably going to end up being Bride of Frankenstein.

Burlesque: it’s more than just a Cher movie from a couple of years ago! That (okay, maybe not exactly that) is what Joe Manning’s new documentary “Burlesque: Heart of the Glitter Tribe” sets out to prove.
The new documentary, which follows twelve performers who get open and honest about this exotic art form, explores the world of burlesque and its growing popularity across the U.S. It invites audiences to get up close and personal with the people who combine striptease with modern dance, comedy, and even — wait for it — fire acts for a living.

This one is smoking — literally.
There’s probably no better festival on earth more deliciously equipped to debut a film all about the art and craft of barbecuing than Austin, Texas’ own SXSW, and fortunately for fans of both movies and meat, that’s exactly where Matthew Salleh’s appropriately titled “Barbecue” is making its bow.
The documentary promises to serve up a film that’s about way more than “grilling a piece of meat. It’s a ritual performed religiously across the world. For some it’s a path to salvation. It is the pride of nations. And the stories told around the fires become a way to bring the world together.” In short — it’s much, much more than food.

7.10 The DArkest Night
Here we are, in the final days of our beloved high school murder mystery. The DArkest Knight was the last finale before the series finale, and did it deliver? Kind-of.
In my season six finale review I complained that the show had lost its flavour, the things that made it different, and become a parody of itself. While I'm not quite retracting that argument, I do feel like season seven has been a marked improvement. I'm excited about it again, and episodes like Hit and Run, Run, Run deserve to sit alongside the show's strongest outings.
More than anything, though, I'm ready for it to end. Not because it's terrible now, as some people are saying, but because I love it, and think it deserves to go out on its own terms.
We start this finale in the middle of a scene,...

The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards had a little bit of everything: a classically Kanye West speech, lots of love for Rihanna and some topical humor from Jimmy Fallon. Caroline suspects the final season of Pretty Little Liars is going to be amazing. Here's her episode 1 review...

7.1 Tick Tock, Bitches
We're back, bitches, and how does it feel for this to be the final time we can say that? No matter what Freeform does with its flagship franchise following season seven, this is almost certainly going to be the final hurrah for Pretty Little Liars as we know it. After last season I'd say I'm ready for that to be the case but, over the course of the next 20 episodes of the show, I hope for that to change. I want to be sad it's over.
Judging by the high level of weirdness (life-size doll, anyone?) and entertainment value present in Tick-Tock, Bitches, I'd say that could very well be the case.
We begin with a flash-forward to Emily, Spencer and Aria spending some quality time,...

The seventh season of Freeform's Pretty Little Liars TV show premieres tonight, Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 8:00pm Et/Pt. In advance of the "Tick Tock Bitches," episode, watch a "Spoby"-centric teaser from Freeform.
"Spoby" is the fandom portmanteau or name mash-up for the erstwhile relationship of Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario) and Toby Cavanaugh (Keegan Allen). Although Spencer is now involved with Caleb Rivers (Tyler Blackburn), Spoby fans have not given up hope that "Spaleb" will end and Spencer will reunite with Toby, now one of Rosewood's finest.

It wouldn’t be too presumptuous to label Dejobaan Games’ Tick Tock Bang Bang a ‘Superhot-like.’ Considering just how similar their central mechanics are, it’s honestly really difficult to talk about the former without comparing it to the latter. After all, it’s also a first person puzzle/shooting game where the central mechanic forces time to only move forward when you do. Unfortunately, it lacks both the sharp visual impact and polished gameplay loop that made Superhot so popular and comes off as a little half-baked as a result.
After jumping into the main campaign, levels in Tick Tock Bang Bang are framed around the premise of playing a charismatic stunt actor in a Hollywood blockbuster of the same name. Though there is something cool about this particular framing device, the execution leaves so much to be desired. It’s about as barebones as it possibly could be with few characters,...

The central plot mechanism of Alice Through the Looking Glass is an actual mechanism, a doodad of whirling steampunk metal and glowy CGI called the Chronosphere. Alice (Mia Wasikowska) drops the little ball and it suddenly grows so that she can step inside and use it to travel through time. “Oh, so it shrinks and enlarges as is convenient. Like a video game tool,” I thought. I was primed for this by the fact that the Chronosphere is housed in a clockwork castle which looks ripped off wholesale from the Tick Tock Clock course from Super Mario 64. Alice even has to hotfoot it over a winding shaft, the same as Mario must do in that level. It’s cliche to compare weightless, CG-heavy cinematic action to watching someone play a video game, but I don’t think that’s fair. I mean, at least with a video game speedrun on YouTube,...

Parents are outraged by a Discovery Girls magazine story that aimed to help preteen girls pick the best bathing suit for their "body types." While the mission statement for Discovery Girls encourages its young readers, ages 8 and up, "to love all that you are," the article titled "Which Swimsuit Best Suits You?" discusses how to best cover and accentuate certain body parts. Girls who were "curvy on the bottom" were guided toward swimsuits with details on the top or sides of the suit to "pull the attention up." Girls "rounder in the middle" could wear bikinis that had higher-waisted bottoms to "draw the eye inward.

On this episode of Suits, "Tick Tock," Mike's trial comes to a close, but things fall apart as he waits to hear the verdict. Harvey and Jessica come up with plan that compromises the integrity of everyone involved, Louis contemplates turning Harvey in to save the firm and himself, and Gibbs approaches Mike with one last deal.
Now that Mike and Harvey agree that it's time for Mike to start representing himself, they just need to get the judge to agree. Mike wants to call Clifford Danner to the stand, but Harvey thinks the guy is too angry and too volatile, and he knows Mike's secret. At this point, it's hardly a secret anymore. This trial has reminded us just how many people know Mike never attended Harvard.
