Amazing!

Warning: Spoilers
Ever since 'Firefly'I have admired Nathan Fillion and his roguish acting, that in combination with the wonderful Stana Katic, together with the rest of the cast and excellent writing is what makes 'Castle'a great show. Albeit I admit that the premise isn't entirely original, the for-mentioned reasons easily makes you oversee that. And this latest episode takes the show to an ever higher level. The episodes this far has been good and for a "whodunnit-cracker" like myself it has been a lot of fun. But 'Tick, tick, tick...'raises the stakes and puts our main characters in the middle of the case and finally in harms way. The ending is a good of a cliffhanger as you can wish for and I can barely wait until next week! If this show gets canceled anytime soon, the once responsible will soon become a new case for Beckett and Castle to solve!

Great episode! easily a favourite 2 parter!

Warning: Spoilers
This is easily one of my favourite 2 parter episodes of Castle. the dynamics between Beckett and Castle and Shaw are priceless and fantastically acted out. it also contains one of my favourite scenes in the entire run of the show, when Rick very righteously spends the night at Beckett's place to protect her.. (with his vast arsenal of rapier wit).. and the events the following morning involving Agent Shaw and the Hardy Boys (Esposito and Ryan) grilling Castle and Beckett about them spending the night at her place while having to investigate a sudden dead body at her door. worth every penny! as a side note, a curious point came up as I watched this episode... if the bullets used in the murders where hand etched on their back ends. it would seem reasonable to assume that the killer was hand loading his bullets. one point would be that if he was hand loading his bullets and was careless enough to not use gloves as he did so, I'm sure they could pull a partial print off of the bullets and match them in Shaw's magical collating database... the other side would be that if the killer was hand loading his bullets, he would have to purchase the bullets, powder, and casings from somewhere... probably not a whole lot of bullet reloading stores in NYC... run them through to see if any of them sold the matching bullets (ballistics would be a dead giveaway) and find out who bought them... pretty strong lead! but would also lead to a much shorter episode.. just some musings. all in all... love this episode and the one that follows!

Not just this series or this show.

Don't know about anyone else but I can't figure out how the female police catch anyone wearing three inch heels, with their shirts unbuttoned half way to their belly buttons. Most of the cop shows on these days have their female officers dressed like this. I have tried, you can't run in three inch heels.

the most predictable plot full of cliché and corny one liners - F

Warning: Spoilers
I attempted to watch another one of these series with high rating. I am really at a loss who likes this series. Anyone who has watched half a decent mystery thrillers can see the ending a mile away. Yes the killer shows himself in the window and walks away a moment before he shoots himself and no one asks why? Oh come on for f**k sake. Either get better writers and directors or make this an outright comedy or spoof. Thank god the series is cancelled.....Good riddance

Nikki Heat is the famous detective not Kate Beckett, as Jordan Shaw takes control.
provethegroove3 November 2013
Moves are afoot to turn the novel Heat Wave into a movie. Richard Castle shares this news with Kate Beckett, the infallible super detective, and she is her typical rude, insulting self, reminding Richard Castle that she really does not want him around.

The focus then shifts to the new case which involves a serial killer who is obsessed with Nikki Heat, not Kate Beckett, the infallible super detective. This provides an opportunity to introduce the impressive Dana Delany to the show as Special Agent Jordan Shaw. Jordan Shaw is clever and talented. She also has a large team and lots of great equipment. She works well with Richard Castle and acknowledges his assistance, something Kate Beckett, the infallible super detective, routinely struggles to do. Beckett becomes jealous of the working relationship between Castle and Shaw and in contrast to her attitude at the top of the show, wants Castle to share everything with her before he shares it with Jordan Shaw.

This two-part show has a cliffhanger at the end speculating whether Kate Beckett will survive.

Kate Becker clearly has a long way to go before she gets to the class of Jordan Shaw, both professionally and personally. Whether by accident or design the very impressive Jordan Shaw represents very serious competition for Kate Beckett, the infallible super detective. However this theme is very rarely touched upon by the writers in the show.

Worst Castle episode ever
mgyorgy3 September 2019
FBI has a sci-fi display and computer (maybe from the future) with anoying beeps... it is a not a Castle episode... it is a simple copy from a serial killer trash movie with full of cliche. Boring and unnecessary.
