This is such a unique episode
slnorman-0554122 November 2020
It's not exciting, thrilling or heartbreaking like the other House episodes I've given 10 stars but that's the point. This episode just goes to show even in a calm and relaxing environment, an episode can still be perfect. Only great writers can accomplish this.

Loved it! And we had some kind of closure for Cameron and Chase!
nctyabc10 September 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I loved this episode!! There was no case, true, but it was still excellent. We went from hilarious parts with Taub and Foreman getting high to a more sad part with Cameron and Chase... and of course House. I think he never really did think about the people whose cases he was turning down... until now, anyway.

I'm also glad Allison and Chase had some kind of closure, they really deserved it, and see how Cameron was doing was nice, too: we see how Chase reacts to Cameron leaving, his sadness and above all his guilt... but even if she's the one who left, Cameron is messed up too, and we never had a chance to see it very well (or at least, we didn't see her dealing with all this divorce thing). I liked their storyline and they were nice together but it really couldn't work out in a different way, even if Chase was, Cameron wasn't ready yet. Maybe Dibala only sped things up, I guess we'll never find out!

Incredibly funny Remy and Wilson's truth or dare, too... a great episode, even if I didn't really liKe the whole baby storyline.

Wonderful pairings
jknousak14 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Holy cow, David Strathairn!

I enjoyed all the pairings, especially Allison and Robert's which brought much-needed closure for them (and us) and most-likely followed the actors' real story to some extent. Fitting story of the newborn -- all the possibilities of her lifetime ahead -- and in searching for her, all the pairings' talk about What had Been and their lives' regrets. Well-done, I think this may be my favorite episode because it was all about kindnesses and caring and love and feeling good/better and, yes, some sadness. Love the softness of it and glad I stuck it out w/ the series to get here.

I'm hooked for the tidbits but...
j-s-aitken13 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I watch House as I'm interested in the personal life tidbits that unfold, apart from the interesting storing lines and cases. So having a whole episode of characters focusing on their personal stuff and connecting between each other is so satisfying- top 5 episode in all of House (others are the psych wards episodes at the beginning of this season) as well as when all the initial differential team is fired or quits, then House needs to choose another team (earlier season). If you've invested in watching this show until, let's say season 3, then you're here, this will be a really satisfying watch!

Folks, for the character development i give it 10
briguilim2000-264-42670316 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
We are used, in the last 5 years, to review superhero movies(or series) and we became numbed.

Yeap, we saw (some) character development in Loki series and in Wandavision. Some. Because Tom Hiddlestone is superb. And also is Lizzy Olsen, Paul Bettany and Kat Hahn.

But in House M.d. , what we saw in that episode is House transitioning(or at least trying to) from a complete obnoxious to ,at least ,accepting other people vulnerability;

Wilson accepting he's not a racional Dormat for House;

Thirteen showing "life is not only misery"(despite her terminal condition) and gligering from Wilson's inability to independance;

Taub and Foreman "bonding" in weirdo way _showing the first is a failure for not outgrowing himself from the great expectations he created about his future as a Doctor in his college years; and the second being a stereotype ethnic failure who outgrown himself by a lot, even if he still is ashamed of his past;

And Chase and Cameron "closure". God, i forgot how perfect it was.

I was just remembering how she broked with him blaming the break for the Dibala's case.

I just thought she was the most hypocrite ongoing House's character.

Now, after Cameron's break down during the lockdown, i thought she opened her "locker " of past "sins" and showed what she really was:a Doctor with Messias Complex that was more broken than her patients.

Yeap, it brings her closer to "past rehab" House than any other of his Assistants in the show.

She never mourned her deceased husband...because she didn't married him for love reasons.

She wanted to (miraculously) save his life.

Than she went to work with House(the poster boy for Messias Complex).

"Felt in love" with him.

Than Chase(House's "disciple") ... No...she wasn't loving then.

She was just selfindulging her all inferiority complex.

And that episode was perfect in showing it.

How i miss a series like that.

Well...at least MCU-Series try to do it,right?

"What's grief if not love persevering"?.

(Laughing).

Not even close to House M. D. character development.

MCU is 8.

House is 10.

A good episode. Just fast forwarded through thei scenes. Anything David Straith...or whatever his name is...does...is good.

All I could think was Abed from Community saying...this feels like a bottle episode. Bottle episode

Orange flower
catpantry25 March 2020
House is punished into a room because of the hospital drill. In there, house sees several hundred copper moulded flowers. So house let himself lay on the floor. He stared at an indigo skeleton that floated in perfect circles above him. "Ive only got eyes for you" says house. The skeleton put its hand over houses mouth. And at the cafeteria a party of 5 stood by they're chairs, all convinced that their bodies were engineered by something that contains them.

Great episode except...
robbm67431 October 2019
The part I've never understood is why the fact that Cameron is such a hypocrite. Seemed like the logical time to bring it up. She killed some old guy in an earlier episode... NEVER has this been brought up. Really paints her in a bad light. It's ok for HER to kill, but not Chase? It's ok she killed someone because they were some insignificant person, but it's not ok to kill a dictator? Really>?

Mixed results

Warning: Spoilers
Chase and Cameron's . The patient Cameron euthanized in Informed Consent was actually a prominent research scientist that advanced the world of medicine ( based on any number of scientists I am sure.) He was terminally ill and asked them to end it. It's actually something all of them had done except Foreman and Cameron. Wilson, House and Chase had . Cameron was sure she had a position but it changed and yes she did it . The problem is in the episode The Tyrant and following episodes she's once again all over the map. I didn't understand her thinking or how she justified her feelings on what Chase did and the cover up, She either really thought they were wrong and would turn them in or accept it and move on with or without staying married. She got to the point she didn't make much sense.

House of course does just this in his part of the episode . But has an interesting conversation with his patient not something he does if he can avoid it .

Cuddy's was another inconsistent one in Histories in season one she told Foreman not to take on the role of the cops . Here they have her micromanaging a missing baby case instead of doing her actual job. Ridiculous!

Fireman and Taub were pretty funny. Wilson and Thirteen were an interesting pairing too .

tacky
yorktown_hawk24 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
One of those unnecessary episodes where they overdo the sentiment and feel good moments for no rhyme or reason whatsoever. The Chase and Cameron plot was the worst. Completely Hollywood-ised insufferable nonsense. The fact the Cuddy never speaks to any law enforcements and was the only one seen searching for the baby, again nonsense. A head of medicine would be receiving continual reports from all over the hospital, not looking for the baby, and having her being the only one capable of thinking to look in a laundry hamper... c'mon. House showing his hidden deep, caring side; save it for the woman's march. Taub and Foreman beating each other up while high and yet they walk away with not one mark on them that raises questions?

All this in a hospital that's in lockdown and yet all the main character bar 13 and Wilson are alone and out of security camera's sights....

These are the episodes that give Hollywood a bad name. Tacky sentimental rubbish.

Snooze fest...
m-4782622 May 2022
This is probably the episode, where they've decided the show would not be on air for too long. As good as season 6 may be, it is clear the next season should've been its last. Lockdown is proof the series had no juice left. The humor and the drama was senseless, and ringed false, especially coming from these characters. The worst part was House and that dying patient. Who cares about anything they had to say? The lockdown caused by that kidnapping, was not even the main focus of the episode. So what was the point in all of this? More useless characters studies? We didn't need any. It's not like they were so mysterious and complex to begin with, and this episode's only true purpose, was to enhance that.
